Kate Jagdon was thrust into the limelight because of her now ex-girlfriend Beatrice Luigi Gomez, the first Miss Universe Philippines who admitted to being part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
The love story between Kate, a performance disc jockey, and Bea, the country's representative to the 2021 Miss Universe pageant, became the talk of the town.
Unfortunately, their six-year relationship ended with Kate confirming the breakup via Instagram Story on November 23, 2021.

According to Kate Jagdon’s SoundCloud profile, she loved music so much that she was inspired to become a performance disc jockey. She began in 2014 at only 19 years old.
Coming from Cebu, Kate has taken part in numerous performances and festivals as a DJ.
Her social media accounts show her at various events. Her Instagram account is @kate_jagdon and it has 86 thousand followers. She also has a Facebook account (@karenkate.jagdon) and TikTok account (@katejagdon) that show her endorsements and exercises.
Aside from being a DJ, Kate is also an endorser of several brands, including an alcoholic beverage, earphones, and shampoo.
Her Instagram account links to liquor delivery service Cebooze and online boutique Karesh: Beauty & Lifestyle, which sells skin-care, make-up and household products, appliances, and even lifestyle necessities.
She has a cat named Twix
During the pandemic, Kate and then-girlfriend Beatrice Luigi Gomez adopted a white cat with blue eyes. They named their feline friend Twix.
Twix would make regular appearances in Kate’s Instagram posts.
When Kate put out a birthday post on Instagram last January 29, she thanked her fans for the gifts, balloons, flowers, and cakes she received.
Of course, present in her photo was Twix.

Bea called Kate her “happy pill since 2015” in a birthday greeting posted on Instagram, confirming the year their relationship started.
Their social media accounts also hosted numerous photos and exchanges chronicling their love story.
Public interest in Kate started after Bea openly admitted that she had a girlfriend, confirming that she belongs to the LGBTQIA+ community. She made this admission during the question-and-answer portion of Binibining Cebu 2020 on January 13, 2020. The pageant was held at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.
Their love continued to get more media attention as Bea revealed more details about them during a virtual Interview Challenge for Miss Universe Philippines 2021. Bea said she has an active lifestyle and this is also her bonding time with Kate.
Kate gave Bea her full support when the latter competed at the national pageant. Based on Kate’s Instagram posts, she was able to attend the grand coronation night for Miss Universe Philippines 2021 that was held at Henann Resort in Bohol on September 30, 2021.
Hours after Bea won Miss Universe 2021, Kate posted a congratulatory message.
SHE WAS FIRST TO CONFIRM BREAKUP RUMORS
Unfortunately, rumors of their breakup started when a TikTok video surfaced on November 22, 2021, quoting Bea about having only her sister and her friend with her during the pageant.
This statement drew a lot of flak because the public knew that Kate was present during the coronation night and she was not just a friend.
On November 23, 2021, Kate used Instagram Story to confirm her breakup with Bea.
She said (published as is), "These past few weeks have been the most difficult time of my personal life. It was a conscious decision to keep quiet, after all this is a personal matter and I chose my privacy above everything else.
“I don’t want to say anything more that fits anyone’s situation. This statement will be short before rumours and falsifications get out of hand. Bea and I have parted ways. I am simply taking this step to move forward and go on with my life. Nothing more.
“I can't thank my family and friends enough for holding my hand during this difficult time and I know you will continue to do so as I take the road to healing.
"We all go forward with love and respect and I wish Bea the best of luck in her journey. At this moment, please respect my privacy and this will be the last time I will address the issue. Thank you.”
The breakup surprised everyone because Bea was set to compete in the Miss Universe 2021 pageant in Eilat, Israel, on December 13, 2021.
Bea was also accused of leaving Kate for the Miss Universe crown.
On February 16, 2022, Bea posted a lengthy Instagram Story detailing how Kate cheated on her and how affected she was by the backlash about the split.
She said, “I can only endure so much for too long. It is hard to advocate for mental health when I myself struggled through pressure, anxiety, and even depression.
“When I was on my way to the MUPH competition, after a series of confrontations I learned that she had already been entertaining a person named ‘Adam’ for over a year during our relationship, she's made out with someone, made a move on other girls, and have been going out more often than usual that there were even times she wouldn't come home for days.
“I wouldn't know where she was or who she was with. I didn't recognize her anymore and things began to change.
“People warned me about what she's been doing and yet I continued to defend her and even tried my best to make it work.
“For over two months when I was already here in Manila, I was on video call with her for as much as possible."
The distance took a toll on their relationship. And Bea admitted to becoming too focused about her self-growth.
“But long distance made it hard for us, there were days that instead of talking about how our days went she'd be in a party or playing her video games. I wasn't perfect either.
“I focused too much on trying to grow without realizing that I've been taking her for granted."
Toward the end of the post, Bea said she doesn't regret her relationship with Kate.
“I can only hope for the best for both of us. I did love her.
“I don't regret anything in the six years that we've been together. I loved her until the last day I was with her.
“We both deserve to be happy... genuinely happy.”
Kate has not responded to Bea's "cheating" allegation.
