Claudia Barretto recently made headlines after her wedding to Basti Lorenzo.
The couple exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at St. James the Great Parish in Muntinlupa City.

BACKGROUND
Claudia Isabelle Barretto Baldivia was born on July 26, 1999.

Part of a well-known showbiz family, she is the second daughter of Marjorie Barretto and her former husband, Dennis Padilla.
She has an older sister, Julia, and a younger brother, Leon.
Claudia also has an older half-sister, Dani Barretto, from Marjorie’s previous relationship with Kier Legaspi, and a younger sister, Erich, from Marjorie’s relationship with former Caloocan Mayor Recom Echiverri.
On her father’s side, she has four half-siblings: Diane, Luis, Gavin, and Maddie.

EDUCATION
Claudia graduated high school from Everest Academy Manila in 2018, earning a silver academic award.
On June 4, 2018, Marjorie took to Instagram to share photos and videos from Claudia’s graduation.
In the caption, she expressed how proud she was of her daughter’s achievement.
With a heart emoji, she wrote:
"Congratulations to my Claudia, my silver academic awardee. You have brought me so much pride and joy.
"God bless you on your new journey to college. You have my love and my support wherever life may take you [emoji]."

Claudia began her college journey with a Management course at the Ateneo de Manila University.
However, drawn by her interest in mental health, she shifted to AB Psychology, which she completed in 2022.

MUSIC CAREER
The Barretto women—Gretchen, Claudine, Marjorie, and Julia—rose to fame through acting.
But Claudia chose a different path in showbiz, carving out a name for herself in music.
In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), she recounted the moment she told her mom, Marjorie, about her dream of becoming a singer.
"Actually, I made my own efforts. I told my Mom that I wanted to be a singer. I always wanted to be a singer ,but I was always too shy to really get into it.
"So when I was around 15, mga three years ago, I told my Mom that wanted to pursue music.
“And then we started talking to record labels. They listen to my demos and then we ended up signing with Universal and the rest is history.”

Claudia began her music career in 2017 under Universal Records and later joined Cornerstone Entertainment.
Her debut single "Stay" earned her a nomination for Best New Female Artist at the 2017 Awit Awards.

This track was later included in her self-titled debut EP, released in July 2018, which also featured songs like "You," "Finally Found It," and "Poison."
In September of the same year, she released another single, "Sinking."
In 2020, she released her final EP under Universal Records titled Conflicted, which also became the title of her lead single.
The album featured the tracks "Head/Heart," "Ode to You," and "Adeline."
On January 20, 2021, Claudia was officially introduced as the newest talent under Viva Artist Agency, joining her sister Julia, who signed with the agency in September 2020.

That same year, Claudia released two singles: "Nothing to Do" and "Be It."
In 2022, she released the singles "Everything" and "Trigger."
In 2023, Claudia released a track titled "Won't Take It."
Her releases in 2024 included the songs "no changing love" and "vacant."
ACTING CAREER
Claudia dipped her toes into acting with a cameo appearance in the Thai film Friend Zone, where she played a singer.
She was also chosen to represent the Philippines for the movie’s theme song and appeared in its official music video.

For the OST, Claudia performed her lines in Tagalog, joining guest singers from China, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Myanmar.

RELATIONSHIPS
Claudia has chosen to keep her dating history relatively private.
She is now married to Basti Lorenzo, a businessman from a prominent Filipino family with business ventures in food, real estate, and education.
The couple began dating in their teens, around 2016.
At one point, they quietly cooled off, with Basti noticeably absent from Claudia’s public life.
However, after the pandemic, keen-eyed netizens noticed signs of a rekindled romance.
By 2023 or 2024, Basti was once again seen attending family events with Claudia, signaling their reunion.
