ABS-CBN Entertainment unveils its new teaser for Darna: The TV Series on May 17, 2022.
Most of the scenes were already shown during the first teaser shown in December 2021, but new pivotal scenes were added in this version.
The 45-second clip centers on how Narda (Jane de Leon) got the magical stone that will transform her into the superheroine Darna.
Included in the teaser is how Leonor (Iza Calzado) turns over the magical stone to her daughter Narda (Jane de Leon), who is in her teenage years.
The young Narda also goes through physical training under Leonor.
Aside from this, Narda also trains under police officer Brian Robles (Joshua Garcia). But as Narda already sports a longer hairstyle in the scene, it seems this police training takes place years after the stone was handed over to her.
Viewers also get a glimpse of Valentina (Janella Salvador) in her alter-ego as Regina Vanguardia.
The teaser ends with Narda delivering one of the iconic lines about the stone: “Ding, ang bato!”
Ding (Zaijian Jaranilla) then throws the magical stone at Narda, who catches it.
It segues to the title card with a voice-over shouting “Darna,” marking how Narda summoned her superheroine alter-ego.
Jane’s transformation from Narda to Darna is yet to be shown.
For the past months, JRB Creative Production, the drama unit helming the production of Darna: The TV Series, had been posting snapshots from their lock-in tapings.
The most recent was a back shot of Jane with ABS-CBN TV Production and Star Magic head Lauren Dyogi during one of the tapings inside a green room.
In the photo, Jane was seen wearing her red headpiece and her hairstyle as Darna.
Currently, Darna: The TV Series has finished three lock-in tapings in the ABS-CBN Soundstage in Bulacan.
ABS-CBN has yet to announce the airing of the series, but the teaser said that it will be seen on TV “very soon.”
