With the enhanced community quarantine still in effect, Kim Chiu had an exhilarating 30th birthday celebration at home.
In her Instagram post, gratitude overflowed for the blessings she has been receiving. Her caption read, "30teen on quarantine!!!
"Today I woke up turning another page of my life!!!
"Gave my thanks to our Father above for the life He has given me."
The Kapamilya actress had an intimate birthday celebration with her family, and her sister Kam made sure it was memorable.
When the clock struck midnight on April 19, Kam, her daughter Raine, and their "angels at home" snuck in Kim's bedroom to greet her a happy birthday.
In the caption, she wrote, "Went to bed early last night was super tired but it was all worth it!!!! this birthday maybe different but things happen and everything happens for a reason.
"Thankful for the gift of life that he has given me. It may be a rough start but there is a good in every bad. I’ve realize that everything in life is temporary! enjoy every minute, every second that we have everyday!..."
Then later in the day, the birthday celebration was in full swing with a feast Kim's family managed to whip up.
This birthday also came with greater meaning for Kim in light of the shooting incident she faced early this year.
Still in her caption, Kim briefly hinted that she remembered this traumatic episode in her life when she blew the candles on her cake.
Knowing that she, her personal assistant, and her driver came out of it unscathed, Kim turned 30 with a "grateful heart."
She said in her caption, "My faith is always tested but I will never give up believing in Him.
"It just became stronger and stronger everytime I surpass a difficult time in my life. when I was blowing my cake today, a flashback I saw,...... thankful I was able to blow my cake today on my special day!!! living each day with a grateful heart!!!!"
