KC Concepcion launched Avec Moi, her exclusive jewelry line, in 2018.
Since then, KC has pursued professional studies in jewelry and gemstones at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), which has campuses in Bangkok, Thailand; Carlsbad, California; Mumbai, India; Taipei, Taiwan as well as London, New York, and Hong Kong.
It also has an online campus, where each of the three courses taken by KC are offered at $250 or roughly PHP12,200, according to GIA's website.
Two years later, after "silently pursuing" gemology in the States, KC received her first three certificates in Jewelry Essentials, Diamond Essentials, and Colored Stone Essentials.
The daughter of Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion posted all three certificates on her Instagram account.
However, KC revealed in a recent Q&A session on Instagram that she still has "so much more to learn."
KC said her studies have been put on hold because of the pandemic and she will "get back into it" once everything is back to normal.
KC'S JEWELRY LINE
Avec Moi means "With You" in French.
The bespoke fine jewelry line is a passion project that KC worked on for a year.
At the collection's private launch in March 2018, the actress-entrepreneur explained to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and the media why "Avec Moi is one of a kind."
KC said, "When you buy this piece, this one piece, no one else has this one piece as you, and I don't plan on reproducing…
"They are real jewelry with diamonds, and everything is not really made by machine.
"Everything is handcrafted, and everything is also signed by me."
The launch was a major success. Private orders remained full until the end of 2019.
At press time, however, its Instagram page has not been updated.
But KC still shows some of her bespoke pieces on her personal Instagram feed every now and then.
