Lea Salonga's message for trans son Nic Chien on his 19th birthday: "With each step into adulthood, my heart grows in ways I couldn’t have predicted. That he is, with honesty and courage, growing into who he’s meant to be makes me incredibly proud."

Very proud ang Filipina actress-singer at Broadway star na si Lea Salonga sa trans son nitong si Nic Chien.

Ipinagdiriwang ni Nic ang kanyang 19th birthday gayong Biyernes, May 16, 2025.

Sa pamamagitan ng Instagram, isang mensahe na puno ng pagmamahal ang ibinahagi Lea para sa kaarawan ng nag-iisang anak nila ng mister na si Robert Chien.

Kalakip nito ang larawan nila ni Nic kung saan naka-back hug si Lea sa anak.

Sa caption, inilarawan ni Lea ang anak bilang "the most precious human being in my little world."

Si Nic daw ang nagpa-realize kung gaano ka-"insignificant" ang kanyang buhay hanggang sa unang pag-iyak ng anak nang isilang ito 19 taon na ang nakalilipas.

Sabi ni Lea sa kanyang post: "This is the most precious human being in my little world.

"The one who captured my heart from the word go.

"The one that made me realize how insignificant my life was, until that initial piercing cry at 12:12pm on May 16, 2006."

Mensahe pa niya para kay Nic: "And now, he is turning 19. With each step into adulthood, my heart grows in ways I couldn’t have predicted.

"That he is, with honesty and courage, growing into who he’s meant to be makes me incredibly proud.

"Happy Birthday, my Nic!!! I love you to infinity!"
