Two months bago ang kanyang ika-115 birthday, pumanaw na si Juan Vicente Perez Mora, ang Guinness World Records oldest living man in the world.

Pumanaw si Jose nitong Miyerkules, April 3, 2024, sa edad na 114.

Ipagdiriwang sana niya ang kanyang ika-115 kaarawan sa darating na Mayo 27.

Ipinagkaloob ng Guinness kay Juan ang titulong oldest living man noong February 4, 2022, noong siya ay 112 years at 253 days.

Iginawad sa kanya ang award nang pumanaw si Saturnino de la Fuente Garcia.

Si Juan ang ikaapat na oldest validated living person in the world at napaulat din na nag-iisang taong buhay na isinilang bago 1911.

Ipinanganak si Juan noong May 27, 1909 sa Venezuela.

Maraming makasaysayang kaganapang nasaksihan si Juan.

Nalampasan niya ang World War I at World War II.

Nalagpasan din ni Juan ang COVID-19 noong 2020.

Sa isang previous interview, ibinahagi ni Juan ang sikreto niya para sa mahabang buhay.

Ang sabi niya sa Guinness, "Working hard, resting on holidays, going to bed early, drinking a glass of aguardiente [brandy] every day, loving God, and always carrying Him in his heart."

Maka-Diyos si Juan at gusto raw niyang maalala siya bilang masipag na tao at tapat sa asawa at relihiyon.

Si Juan ay ikinasal noon kay Ediofina del Rosario Garcia, at nagtagal ang pagsasama nila for 60 years. Pumanaw si Ediofina noong 1997.

Nagkaroon sila ng 11 anak.

Si Juan ay nagkaroon ng 42 apo, 18 apo sa tuhod (great-grandchildren), at 12 apo sa talampakan (great-great-grandchildren).

Ayon pa sa website ng Guinness, ang napipisil na hiranging oldest living man ay si Gisaburo Sonobe ng Japan na 112 years old.

Ang pagkamatay ni Juan ay kinumpirma ni Freddy Bernal, mayor ng Tachira, Venezuela via X (Twitter) nitong Miyerkules.
