The clothing rental store Vestido The Studio in Poblacion, Makati, was transformed into a beachside cabana for the press launch of Juju Swim, the new swimwear curated by Julia Barretto for her online store, Juju Club.
Tagged #SeasonswithJuju and #JujuSwim, the event happened last March 28, 2023, with influencers and friends of Julia in attendance.
Julia told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment) and other press members she has long planned to launch a versatile swimwear collection since she opened her online store for business In 2021.
She said, "Since we started, I’ve always told the girls we should have a swimwear line. It’s not something it comes out magically, you have to work for it, and kailangan very well-thought-out yung pieces.
"It took us quite a long time. It makes it easy when you know exactly what you want. I got to a season in my life na it’s okay what I wanted.
"Now that I am older, I know what I want."
Juju Swim features nine different styles from one-piece swimsuits to stringtops and bikini bottoms, from sizes XS to XL, and three colorways of brown, black, and white.
She also shared style tips on how to wear Juju Swim in and out of the water.
"It’s flattering. It will complement any body type and you can wear it with any kind of bottoms. You can also pair it with any blazer or jacket.
"The cut at the back is perfect and ang ganda niya siya sa shoulders and collarbone."
According to Julia, one of her favorites is the Kai One Piece, which is available on Lazada for PHP2,950.

SWIMSUIT READY
With her toned and fit figure, Julia is the perfect model for her line of swimwear.
The logical question then to ask Julia, how goes her diet?
She said, "I will be transparent. I find that going on a diet puts me in a bad mood, so I don’t do that anymore. Eating makes me happy and I don’t want to deprive myself.
"I’ve gotten to a point wherein I am comfortable in my own skin, so balance is everything. The right balance will be good for you and being active.
"It’s hard to get our butts out of bed and do the hard work, but having a balanced diet and an active lifestyle is the best way to get your body goals."
Julia’s love for badminton is mainly how she stays fit, instead of traditional gym workouts.
"Recently, I have been loving badminton. I am not a big fan of running, to be honest. I find it kind of boring, personally.
"I wanted to do a cardio na something you can do with your friends para masaya.
"Badminton is good cardio, it’s fun. You don’t realize you’ve been doing it for 2 hours, 3 hours, kasi you’re enjoying."
She further revealed that her favorite badminton buddy has been the singer-actor-vlogger MJ Cayabyab, her best friend.
"We’re neighbors, so nagpapasundo na lang ako sa kanya pupunta kami sa badminton court.
"We will also invite our other friends. It’s easy and you don’t have to be good at it to get a good workout."
JULIA BARRETTO: BODY ACCEPTANCE
Additionally, Julia talked about body acceptance, "I know what it’s like to go through that because we have all gone through that in our life.
"There is nothing like getting to the acceptance stage. I have imperfections but I have gotten to a point wherein I already accepted them.
"The moment I did, parang naging madali yung life ko, kasi there is nothing I can do about it anymore, might as well be proud of it.
"I also choose styles and clothes that complement my favorite parts of my body.”
