Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray affirms health comes first before anything else.
In an interview with sports reporter Dyan Castillejo on March 18, 2024, Catriona expressed that her primary focus at the moment is her overall wellness, as she opened up about her struggles with scoliosis.

American hospital Mayo Clinic refers to scoliosis as an atypical sideways curvature of the spine.
"I'm getting older, nag-thirty na ako. Sorry, older in my context," Catriona said, laughing.
"I'm starting to really feel the effects of scoliosis in my everyday life."
TREATMENT FOR SCOLIOSIS
Bracing and surgery are the treatment options for scoliosis.
Catriona, for her part, has looked into the various ways she can manage the pain and discomfort.
She said, "I'm just prioritizing my health, doing Pilates halos everyday because it just makes me feel better.
"I'm going to the chiropractor."
According to orthoinfo website, physical therapy, acupuncture, massage, and yoga can also help alleviate the pain.
Catriona had previously revealed in an interview with GMA-7 that perfecting her signature "slow-mo twirl" did not happen overnight due to the difficulty caused by her scoliosis.
The 30-year-old beauty queen also told Dyan that for Holy Week this year, she is set to travel to Australia to spend time with her parents and family.

While fans eagerly await updates on the long-awaited wedding between Catriona and Sam Milby, her recent statements signal a shift in focus towards personal growth and well-being.
Earlier this year, the two have clarified through an official statement by their talent management agency Conrnerstone Entertainment that they are committed to seeing things through as a couple.
Part of the statement read: "While it is true that Sam and Catriona are currently facing some challenges in their relationship, they are actively working on resolving these issues together."
