In Manila once again, the South Korean heartthrob Lee Min Ho seemed to be making plans for an extended stay.
Min Ho conveyed this sentiment during a press conference on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at the Conrad Hotel in Pasay City.
He told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other members of the press, "Well, despite [the hectic schedule], I would really love to go on a vacation to a very quiet island.
"I wouldn't want to go to islands like Cebu, which are very well-known and very crowded, but I would love to go to like secret islands and spend time.
"I think it would be really fun to camp also."
The Pachinko actor added, "If anyone can tell me about these secret islands in secret, I would be very grateful."
Min Ho's much-anticipated return to the country after seven years was as the honored guest for SMDC's 65th-anniversary celebration at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
The event was held on the same day as his press conference.
LEE MIN HO: IDEAL HOME
Min Ho, being the ambassador of a real-estate company, shared his preference for a minimalist home when asked about his ideal living space.
He said, "I think I prefer homes that do not have a lot of things inside. I'm kind of preferring minimalist homes.
"But, of course, everything depends on the preferences of a person."
Nevertheless, he emphasized his respect for people's choices regarding their home's type and aesthetic.
"Some people, they really feel comfort and safety whenever there are a lot of appliances at home.
"But, of course, this differs from person to person. But everything is very important."
For Min Ho, the home reflects a person's essence and is a personal and revealing space. And it acts as a mirror, showcasing an individual's character and preferences.
"Of course, whenever we have a home, we can see through the home, we can see how a person is. And the most personal home is the best type of home.
"We can use this as a mirror to identify what type of a person that specific person is.
"That is why even though we have very similar or same structures in the different homes that we have, it can differ from how the person decorates it or how the person lives inside it.
"So I think during my shoot and as someone who has been part of this brand, too, it was very interesting to see how these things can change lifestyle."
But what are the three must-have items for his ideal home?
He answered, "First of all, the bed, of course... Double King size!
"Well, of course, I think a sofa is very important because it allows to create a space where people can gather and do a lot of things.
Min Ho added, laughingly, "And, lastly, I think the microwave would be really important, too."
