A television set has become the cynosure at the Quezon Avenue flagship store of Abenson on June 28, 2024.
It’s impossible to miss—it’s 115 inches!
It’s like a billboard you can take home.
And when it began its demo, it was like watching a movie in a theater.
The bright blue skies in the backdrop of Top Gun: Maverick were riveting.

With 4K UHD (Ultra High Definition) resolution, it even showed the fine lines on Tom Cruise’s face.

TCL’s latest offering, the X955, is a QD mini-LED and is said to be the “titan of immersive display.”
It’s hard to look away from it.

Given its giant size, one needs to be at least 11.5 feet or 3.5 meters away to fully enjoy the experience and not be overwhelmed by the brightness.

WILL YOU SPEND 1M ON A TV SET?
Athlete and Internet personality Vince Velasco, who hosted the launch, nodded affirmatively.
He told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), “Honestly, if I had a big enough space and could save up for it, yes.
“Because TVs like this don’t often come at a price like that. And they don’t come in a size like that.
“So especially if, let’s say, you’re at home with your family, what an experience.”
For a TV geek like him who is “subscribed to all the streaming services” and has a premium account on YouTube, this is something aspirational.
As Vince put it, “Aside from my work, I spend more time on my TV, so if I have the money and space, why not?”
His eyes sparkled at the thought of watching basketball games on a huge TV.
“I can only imagine what it would be like to watch UAAP games and NBA games on a TV like this. And to play video games on a TV like this.”

What was his watching experience like?
“It makes you not want to leave, especially if you have a good setup at home. The TV is all you need, along with a couch.
"And honestly, it's a different kind of experience, pretty immersive.
"And it's nice because it's one of those TVs where you can experience it with other people.”
