ABS-CBN host-comedian Vice Ganda is all smiles now that his brand-new car has been finally delivered after months of waiting.
In a YouTube vlog dated January 27, 2022, Wednesday, the Phenomenal Box Office Star revealed that he bought a brand-new Cadillac Escalade.
Vice revealed that he had been experiencing a string of mishaps with his previous vehicles. So as not to compromise his safety, he decided to get a new car.
He said, "Umorder kami ng bagong caru kasi, parang minamalas ako lately sa sasakyan.
"Nung isang araw nagda-drive ako, nawalan ng brake yung dina-drive kong sasakyan. Sabagay kasi, ilang taon na rin naman iyon.
"'Tapos siguro dahil hindi nagagamit because of the pandemic, nung bigla kong ginamit, nawalan siya ng preno."
He continued, "'Tapos yung ginagamit ko naman everyday kapag pumapasok sa Showtime, yung malaking sasakyan, nagloloko yung aircon lately.
"Ang cheap-cheap nun, habang nagme-make-up, naglalapot ako kasi walang aircon. Yung pupunta ako ng ABS, yung make-up ko, lapot na lapot ako kasi walang aircon.
"Kailangan sinusuntok yung aircon para lumakas o bumukas ulit.
"'Tapos, yung isang sasakyan ko pang malaki, yung pang-shooting naman, nangarag din. So parang minamalas-malas ako sa sasakyan.
"Sabi ko baka it’s time na bumili na ng bago para madispose yung ibang lumang sasakyan since ngarag naman na siya."
Even Vice's partner Ion Perez could not help but tease him about the aircon problem of his car.
The It's Showtime host recalled, "Lagi niya kasi akong inookray. Kapag yung aircon, kapag nasisira 'tapos sinusuntok namin yung aircon, sasabihin niya, 'Parang hindi nakaka-phenomenal star yung ganyang sasakyan.'
"Inookray niya ako, sabi niya, 'Parang hindi unkabogable yung kotse mo!'"

Based on the video montage in his vlog, Vice Ganda's new car is a 2021 Cadillac Escalade.
He was supposed to receive his new car in August 2021, but the available unit was white. He decided to wait for the black version.
According to the car brand's website, the price of a Cadillac Escalade ranges from USD76,295 to USD103,915. That is around PHP3,912,789.08 to PHP5,329,280.78.
Vice Ganda used his earnings from the Kapamilya musical game show Everybody, Sing! (June to October 2021) to buy the car.
This was also the reason he named his new car "E.S."
He said, "Si E.S., katas ng Everybody Sing!, hahaha! Katas siya ng Everybody Sing! kaya pangalanan natin siyang si E.S."
