Dani Barretto is a proud live seller; to launch own skin-care brand

Aside from being a full-time mom to Millie, Dani Barretto has found her true calling as a live seller on TikTok.

Live selling has been a huge trend in the e-commerce industry, especially when people started to prefer shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thanks to live selling, Dani's one-year-old lifestyle brand The Mill has grown in terms of increased sales and brand awareness.

In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) last August 9, 2022, Dani said, "Kasi when you own a business, you tend to... gagawin mo lahat, e, to get your brand out there.

"And one year pa lang yung brand ko. So as much as possible, I'll pull all the stops.

"Ita-try ko lahat ng puwede kong magawa para mai-sell yung brand, para mas makilala yung brand. And siyempre, to push sales.

"And TikTok has really been a good platform. So yun, malaki ring tulong sa The Mill yung support ng TikTok sa amin."

Dani is confident in her brand's growth online as she sells via multiple platforms. Aside from TikTok, Dani also does live selling sessions on online shopping apps like Lazada and Shopee.

Is she affected by Meta's recent announcement that they are removing Facebook's live shopping feature?

Dani said, "For now, parang okay naman na yung platforms namin. Nakatulong talaga siya nang malaki. Hindi masyado [affected sa Meta], kasi hindi naman ako masyado na-introduce sa Facebook, actually."

NEW BUSINESS

Now, Dani is excited to launch another business: her own skin-care brand.

The 29-year-old "mompreneur" revealed to PEP.ph that she will launch it later this year.

She said, "I'm coming out with a skin-care brand very soon. It's in the works. Actually, by the end of the year, we will be able to release it na.

"I've announced it na rin on TikTok, pero hindi pa ako naglalabas ng mga teasers. Pero very, very soon."

Dani also expressed how proud she is of her next venture.

"Yun, sobrang passionate ako about it kasi it's a product that we really started from scratch."

She also noted that her skincare brand is locally produced.

Dani proudly said, "I really believe in supporting local brands and local establishments, manufacturing, distribution. Kahit packaging namin, lahat local."
