“Diamonds are forever” is one of the most successful marketing slogans for a reason.
Diamonds are not only prized for their brilliance; they hold meaning, mark milestones, and outlast trends.
Among those who subscribe to its essence is Bea Alonzo.
One of the ambassadors for local jeweler My Diamond, Bea openly expresses her affinity for the stone, calling diamond jewelry a worthy investment.
During a media presentation held at the MyDiamond store in SM Mall of Asia on October 1, 2025, for the brand’s Holiday Collection 2025, Bea related why jewelry has always played a meaningful role in her life.
“I feel like there’s something about jewelry that makes a look put-together,” Bea said.
“I don’t know if it’s psychological, but whenever I put on something sparkly, I feel confident right away. Maybe it is a reminder to shine even brighter, as they say.”
As someone who values both style and sentiment, Bea believes jewelry has the power to elevate not just an outfit, but also one’s state of mind.
When it comes to styling her diamond pieces, the actress revealed that her choices depend largely on the stone and the overall look she wants to achieve.
“If I’m wearing a ruby-colored stone, I would wear it with something sexy, maybe a black dress,” she explained.
“If it’s sapphire, I think it would go well with a white jumpsuit or a pantsuit.
"With emeralds, I love going monochromatic, pairing it with an emerald dress.”

Bea Alonzo's dream diamond piece
Asked about a dream diamond piece she has yet to acquire, Bea burst into laughter even before the question was completed.
“Kung ano man yung dream na yun, siyempre ayokong bilhin,” she said jokingly. “Gusto ko na lang ibigay [sa akin].”
Laughing, she added, “Ano ba iyan, na-stress ako sa inyo. Alam ko yung ginagawa niyo.”
Her playful response did little to stop speculation, especially given how closely the public has been watching the next major milestone in her personal life with rumored beau Vincent Co.
More seriously, Bea revealed that one diamond piece she sees herself owning in the future is a diamond tennis bracelet, which she described as a classic: “It’s something I could wear every day.
“It’s something I could pass down one day, and I think it would represent love and creating something lasting.”
On the topic of heirlooms, the 38-year-old leading lady has something else in mind that would be a good alternative to diamonds.
“I don’t know if it’s just me, but a good tweed jacket would be it,” she pondered. “It feels timeless. A good Chanel tweed jacket would be a nice gift.”
Meanwhile, for those planning to purchase their first diamond, Bea offered practical advice, emphasizing quality and longevity.
“First of all, kudos to that person who’s investing in jewelry because I think that’s a brilliant investment,” she said.
“For first-timers, make sure that the color of the diamond is good and that it’s something that would last you a lifetime, something you can pass down from one generation to another.”
