Anne Curtis said becoming a mom has made her realize even more the wisdom of spending time wisely.
She said when she was still single, all of her time was about work, "Whereas now, when you have a daughter, you realize how precious time spent with her is.
"That's probably how my parents felt when I was growing up, alam mo iyon? It's changed the way I perceive things...
"Parang as a mom, iyong time mo, parang you realize how precious it is."
Anne shared her thoughts about motherhood with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and the press at the virtual launch of Jollibee's "Family Thanksgiving Month" campaign on April 29, 2021.
Looking back to her time in Australia where she gave birth to their daughter Dahlia, Anne said she and her husband Erwan Heussaff were most grateful to her mother Carmen and brother Thomas for the extra hands in taking care of the baby.
"It's made me appreciate them even more. And I'm so grateful to have been given that time to spend, let's just say, with my mom, my brother, when I was still in Melbourne.
"They really helped me during the first few months of motherhood and my husband as well.
"Just seeing my mom as a lola, in a different light, alam mo iyon? Mas nakikita ko pa nga na totoo pala iyon na mas spoiled pa ang apo!
"Little things like that, which made me appreciate and so thankful talaga to have them.
"Not only in my life, but in Dahlia's life."
Anne and Erwan welcomed Dahlia in Melbourne in March 2020, just when the COVID-19 pandemic made traveling back to Manila risky and difficult.
The family was able to settle back in Manila almost a year after, in February 2021, weeks before the little Heussaff turned one.
