Jake Ejercito posted on Twitter one of his recent conversations with daughter Ellie Eigenmann, who is presently in Siargao, where her mom Andi Eigenmann is based.
It was about Hidilyn Diaz.
The tweet dated October 2, 2021 began with Ellie telling her dad that she would be meeting the Olympic sports icon.
"Me mommy and Philmar will see hidilyn Diaz tomorrow..."
Philmar Alipayo is Andi's partner and the dad of her two kids Lilo and Koa.
Jake then asked his daughter to get Hidilyn's "autograph."
Ellie replied, "Why?"
Jake briefly explained, "Because she's the country's only gold medalist."
The weightlifter won the country's first gold medal this year at the Tokyo Olympics.
Ellie's next messages were GIFs that seemed to tease Jake and a photo of her and Hidilyn with her gold medal.
Jake did not forget his request: "Did you get my autograph"
Ellie's reply was simply, "No."
And some netizens could not help but laugh at the nine-year-old kid's seemingly deadpan reaction to her dad's request.
