Malia O’Brian knocks her mom Pokwang for a loop with an unexpected and personal conversation, which was later shared as an Instagram Story.
The video begins with Malia warmly greeting her mom with affectionate words.
In the video, the six-year-old celebrity kid expresses her love for her mother, saying, "Mama, I love you."
A moved Pokwang reciprocates by gently saying, "I love you, too."
Almost immediately, Malia surprises her mom by bringing up a serious topic out of the blue: "And I don't want you to get a boyfriend."
This catches Pokwang off-guard, and she responds with, "Huh! Why?"
Malia replies with silence, prompting Pokwang to repeat: "Why? Why?"
Malia finally admits, "Because I saw it from my iPad, mom."
Pokwang replies, laughing, "Ano daw. Chururut bumblebee ka?"
Malia adorably asserts, "No! You're the one who's being chururut bumblebee."
It's clear from Malia's reaction that she is not keen on the idea of her mom dating someone new.
Fortunately, both Malia and Pokwang are on the same wavelength about this matter.
As far as the Instagram Story goes, Pokwang conveys through her caption how determined she is to stay away from the dating scene altogether.
The Becky and Badette star notes (published as is): "Ayaw nya ako mag-boyfriend!!! Kasi nga yung ama kung siney siney na chaka ang ka-join hahahah.
"Don't worry nak, ikaw at si ate lang ang priority ko. Pangako yan."

MALIA'S CONTACT WITH FATHER LEE O'BRIAN
In December 2023, Pokwang set all bad blood with former partner, Lee O'Brian, aside to put their daughter Malia first.
Despite ongoing personal conflicts with Lee, Pokwang emphasized her commitment as a mother to prioritize Malia's well-being, especially during the season of giving.
She acknowledged that Lee has started visiting and spending time with their daughter, and expressed her willingness to accommodate his desire to be part of Malia's life.
The 53-year-old comedienne revealed, "Nakakadalaw naman siya, napapasyal niya yung bata.
"Ako, naghihintay lang ako kung kailan niya ulit gusto. Kasi importante sa akin yung happiness ng anak ko."
"Christmas is for children."
In addition, she highlighted her contentment with this arrangement, stating with conviction, "Okay na ako."
