Pia returned to the Philippines four times.
The first was January 25, 2016, after she was crowned as Miss Universe 2015.
The 27-year-old beauty queen was given a grand homecoming parade from Manila to Makati to Quezon City.
In April, she was in town again to crown her successor, Maxine Medina, during the 53rd edition of the Binibining Pilipinas beauty pageant held at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
In September, she celebrated her 27th birthday in Manila.
Her recent visit was in December to promote the upcoming 65th Miss Universe pageant happening at the SM Mall of Asia Arena this January 30.
Throughout her reign, she stayed at the official residence of Miss Universe, a posh apartment building in Manhattan, New York City.
Most of Pia's events—fashion shows, TV appearances, and charity events—happened in the U.S.
Last February, she walked the runway for Carmen Marc Valvo, Go Red for Women, and Sherri Hill's Fall/Holiday 2016 collection at the bi-annual New York Fashion Week.
In September, she attended the shows of Desigual, Dan Liu, and Son Jung Wang with reigning Miss USA 2016 Deshauna Barber and Miss Universe 2015 runner-up Olivia Jordan.
In February, Pia flew all the way from NYC to Los Angeles, California as a special correspondent for USA's longest-running news magazine program Inside Edition.
In November, Pia joined Senator Manny Pacquiao's entourage during his WBO welterweight championship bout with American boxer Jessie Vargas held at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Before her homecoming events in the Philippines, Pia dropped by Bali, Indonesia to shoot a TV commercial for a vitamin drink. This was her first TV ad as Miss Universe.
In March 2016, Pia went to Toronto, Canada, to be part of the Miss Universe Canada 2016 pageant.
She was pictured with Miss Universe Canada 2015 Paola Nunez Valdez.
Also part of her itinerary was show her support to the Sick Kids Foundation.
Along with Paola and former Prime Minister John Turner, she also gave a message regarding Diversity in Canada & Anti-Bullying along.
In April, Pia was invited to judge the Miss Peru pageant.
She helped crown Valeria Piazza who will represent Peru in the upcoming Miss Universe 2016 in the Philippines.
In May, Pia went to Ecuador to help supervise the relief efforts of Red Cross after the country was hit with a magnitude of 7.8 earthquake last April 16.
She also joined the Casita De Mis Suenos fundraiser for the benefit of Ecuadorian youths.
In August, Pia made an "unexpected trip" to Thailand as part of her Miss Universe 2015 duties.
She, however, did not share details on social media.
8. Cayman Islands
After visiting Ecuador and Peru, Pia spent two days in Cayman Islands last June to grace the Miss Cayman Islands 2016 pageant.
Pia had a bit of R&R and went swimming with Stingrays, and toured George Town, Camana Bay, and the Eastern Districts.
Pia also went to visit Panama, where she experienced building a mud hut, learning how to cook guacho de mariscos, and attended some fashion shows.
The Filipino-German beauty queen also saw the Panama Canal, a 48-mile waterway that connects the Atlantic Ocean with the Pacific Ocean.
10. United Arab Emirates
In November, she had a meet-and-greet session with her fans at Dragon Mart, one of the largest malls in Dubai.
She also got to try a desert safari tour.
After visiting Dubai, Pia went to Singapore, where she was spotted hanging out with her rumored boyfriend Filipino race car driver Marlon Stockinger.
She also had a shoot with Cindy Bishop, host of Asia's Next Top Model 5, where Pia is set to become a guest judge.
