Elmo Magalona said that he didn't have a hard time talking to his girlfriend Janine Gutierrez about his decision to transfer to ABS-CBN.

“What I like about is it was a light conversation lang,” said Elmo in an interview after his contract signing with ABS-CBN yesterday, November 26.
It can be recalled that Elmo and Janine got to know each other when they first worked together in the now-defunct GMA afternoon soap Villa Quintana.
Then they became an official couple sometime before they confirmed it to a select group of entertainment reporters October last year.

Their second and last teleserye together was More Than Words, which ran from November 17, 2014 to March 6, 2015.
Although he will miss doing teleseryes with Janine, Elmo maintained that he's happy with the way things are going with their respective showbiz careers.
Elmo added, “The only nice thing is that we are both busy and [we have] lots of work.
“We support each other talaga.
“I'm so happy for her nga kasi this is her year. This is her breakouut year.
“She's had so many projects with magazines and with movies, sobrang dami niyang ginawa.
“And now, I'm getting the share of the blessings.
“I'm happy naman na she supports me also with this decision of mine.”
At the same time, Elmo is optimistic that he will still get to work with Janine in future projects.
“Yeah, super-nakakapanibago talaga, pero it's not the end actually.
“We could also be having projects together again.”
Despite his sudden network switch, Elmo maintained that his relationship with Janine is going strong.
In fact, the two even went on an impromptu beach trip few days before Elmo was formally welcomed as the newest Kapamilya.
