Aiza Seguerra celebrated his first “wedding” anniversary with Liza Diño at the The French Laundry in Napa Valley, California.
In his Instagram post yesterday, December 9, Aiza related that he wanted to fulfill Liza’s longtime wish to go on a food trip at the said fine-dining restaurant.
Aiza, who identifies himself as a transgender man, wrote this caption on Instagram: “I asked our good friend ate Emma 3 months ago to help me reserve a table.
“We ended up sa wait list nila.
“Sa totoo lang, nawalan na ako ng pag-asa na makakakain pa tayo sa restaurant pero the day before our anniversary, the resto called to tell us na they can accommodate us!
“Sa araw ng anniversary natin mismo!
“Hindi ako makapaniwala.
“Sobrang na excite ako kasi gusto ko sobrang ma surprise ka.
“Thank you universe for giving us our table tonight. Thank you to our friends who made tonight possible.
“I'm so happy you enjoyed tonight love.
“There's nothing I want more than to see you smile.
“I love you! Happy anniversary! #zazafoodie #dagdagpogipoints”
REMEMBERING THEIR WEDDING DAY. Around the same time last year, it can be recalled that Aiza and Liza got married in U.S, where same-sex marriage was legalized since 2013.

Since same-sex marriage is still not legal in the Philippines, the couple held a separate "symbolic ceremony" in San Juan, Batangas last January 9.

In another Instagram post, Aiza further recalled that nothing beats the feeling of starting a journey of forever with the one he loves with all his heart.
He recalled, “Isang taon na ba ang nakalipas? Ang bilis bilis…
“Hinding-hindi ko makalimutan yung kabang naramdaman ko non bago magsimula ang kasal.
“Sobrang excited ako na hindi ko maintindihan.
“Una na siguro, hindi ko inakalang ikakasal ako.
“Akala ko, imposible ng mangyari yon.
“Kaya nung araw na yon, hindi ako makapaniwala love.
“Nung nagsimula na yung music at naglakad na kami, ramdam na ramdam ko na I was at the right place at the perfect time.
“Lahat ng pinagdaanan ko, masakit man o masaya, ay dinala ako sa moment na ito upang maging handa ako para sa iyo.”
GOING STRONG. While they are admittedly far from being the perfect couple, Aiza happily said that their relationship has grown stronger than ever.
The 32-year-old singer said, “Sa loob ng isang taon, napakaraming nangyari.
“Napakaraming ibinigay na pagsubok na minsan hindi natin alam paano lulusutan.
“May mga panahon na naging mahina ako, minsan naman ikaw, pero ni minsan hindi natin iniwan at binitawan ang isa't isa.
“At pagkatapos natin malampasan ang bawat pagsubok, mas lalo tayong nagiging matatag.
“Mas mapagmahal. Mas mapagbigay. Mas pasensiyoso. Mas mapagpatawad. Mas masaya. Walang kasing saya.”
At this point in his life, it seems that Aiza really couldn’t ask for more.
Ever the romantic partner, Aiza further wrote in his Instagram message for Liza, “To say that you're the greatest thing that ever happened to me is an understatement.
“You are why I love. You are why I breathe. You are why I live.
“Loving you and making you the happiest woman in this universe and beyond is my life's purpose.
“I love you, my wife. My beautiful wife.
“I fall in love with you every single day. Happy anniversary!”
