Luis Manzano admitted that there was a time when he and girlfriend Jessy Mendiola denied on media interviews that they are already in a relationship.
As it happened, a netizen pointed out that Jessy once denied that she and Luis were officially a couple in an article dated July 27, 2016.
Whereas the actor-TV host himself revealed that they marked their first anniversary last Sunday, June 25, 2017.
But in a series of Twitter posts Tuesday night, June 27, Luis slammed bashers nitpicking details that he and Jessy choose to disclose or withhold from the public.

He reiterated that the timetable of his relationship with Jessy is a non-issue since he was already single months before they became an item.

To recall, there have been speculations about Luis’s reported closeness with Jessy months after he and Angel Locsin broke up.
It should be noted that Luis and Angel kept mum about why they called it quits early in 2016.
But on July 15 that same year, Angel gave an ambiguous response when asked to comment on Luis’s earlier statement that there was no third party involved in their breakup, leaving the public wondering when and how Jessy fits in the issue, if at all.

When reached for comment, Jessy categorically stated that there was no truth to allegations that she "destroyed" Angel and Luis's relationship.

Since then, Angel and Jessy got embroiled in social-media controversies, with netizens picking up clues about whether or not the alleged overlapping relationship with Luis left any hidden tension or rivalry between the two Kapamilya actresses.

But once and for all, Luis shut down talks that he two-timed Angel with Jessy, with whom he celebrated their first anniversary as a couple last Sunday, June 25.
As for Angel, she admitted to dating Neil Arce since March this year.
