Ayon sa Buckingham Palace, unang napansin ang pagkakaroon ng cancer ni King Charles III nang maoperahan siya para sa enlarged prostate noong January 2024.
Sa operasyong iyon, sumailalim din sa ilan pang diagnostic tests ang hari ng Britanya at doon lumabas ang findings ng cancer. Hindi inihayag ang uri ng cancer ng monarch.
Gayunpaman, tuloy pa rin ang state business at official paperwork ni King Charles III, ngunit ipagpapaliban muna nito ang scheduled public engagement para sa treatment.
Mababasa sa pahayag ng Buckingham Palace: "During The King's recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concert was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer.
"His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he as been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties.
"Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual."
Sa kabila ng kanyang kalagayan, nananatiling positibo si King Charles III na gagaling siya upang maipagpatuloy ang paglilingkod sa kanyang mga nasasakupan.
Anila, "The King is grateful to his medical team for their swift intervention, which was made possible thanks to his recent hospital procedure. He remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forwrad to returning to full public duty as soon as possible.
"His Majesty has chosen to share his diagnosis to prevent speculations and in the hope it may assist public understanding for all those around the world who are affected by cancer."
