MARK ANGELO CHING
Fairy-tale magic comes alive in Snow White.
The enchanted forest bursts with color and whimsy, making it feel like a living storybook.
Every frame is rich with detail, and the cinematography captures the magic that made the original so beloved.
The film features some catchy musical numbers, and Rachel Zegler, who plays Snow White, delivers them well.
While she initially feels miscast, she gradually grows into the role, offering a respectable performance.
Her rendition of "Whistle While You Work" is charming and heartfelt.

The film's theme song "Waiting on a Wish"—though reminiscent of past Disney songs—is a spellbinding showcase of Rachel's vocal talent.

Gal Gadot's transformation as the old witch is also worthy of notice.
Is it really her?
In her interviews, she assures, "It's totally me."
Notable Changes in DISNEY'S SNOW WHITE
MARK ANGELO CHING
One of the biggest changes in the live-action adaptation is the reimagining of the Prince—a detail even some kids noticed.
In the 1937 version, the Prince had little identity, appearing only briefly with no real characterization.
Here, he is reworked into Jonathan (Andrew Burnap).
While this change initially seems promising, it ultimately feels rushed and underdeveloped.

Gal as the Evil Queen also raises questions.
While she certainly looks the part, her performance lacks the menace needed to make her a truly terrifying villain.

For a character who is meant to be one of Disney’s most iconic and fearsome antagonists, her portrayal feels a bit restrained.
The script also introduces several new characters that do not really add much to the story.
A subplot involving Snow White’s father hints at a major revelation, but in the end, it adds little to the overall narrative.
TAKEWAYS FROM DISNEY'S SNOW WHITE
KAREN AP CALIWARA
As an adult, I had hoped this version would add depth to the story and develop the characters further.
However, it’s clear the film isn’t meant for those who analyze every detail.
The kids, on the other hand, absolutely love it.
They clap, they find Dopey adorable, and they are mesmerized by Snow White.
Most of all, all the vivid scenes before Snow White's mother’s death spark their imagination, making it a visual spectacle they won’t soon forget.
