Noong March 20, 2025, sinampahan ng reklamo ng Gold Medalist, ang talent agency na kinabibilangan ni Kim Soo Hyun, ang pamilya ng namayapang aktres na si Kim Sae Ron ng paglabag sa Korea's Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes o distribution of illegal footage.

Dahil ito sa pagbibigay umano ng pamilya ni Kim Sae Ron ng pribadong litrato ni Kim Soo Hyun, kung saan walang suot na pang-ibaba ang aktor, sa Garosero Research Institute na nagsapubliko ng larawan.
Kuha ang nasabing larawan sa mismong bahay ni Kim Sae Ron noong magkarelasyon pa sila ni Kim Soo Hyun.
Ang Garosero Research Institute ay isang independent media platform sa South Korea na nakilala bilang "whistleblower" o nagbubulgar ng eskandalo sa mundo ng entertainment, business, at politics.

Ang legal counsel ng pamilya ni Kim Sae Ron na si Bu Ji Seok ang naging tagapagsalita ng kampo ng aktres, base sa ulat ng Soompi.com.
Sa naganap na press conference, ibinahagi ni Bu Ji Seok ang nakalap umano nilang audio recording mula sa isang "whistleblower."
Ang whistleblower na binabanggit ng pamilya ay isa raw taong malapit kay Kim Sae Ron.

Ayon sa kanila, noong April 30 ay tinambangan ang whistleblower ng dalawang lalaki, isang Korean at Chinese, at pinagsasaksak ito nang siyam na beses sa leeg.
Paniniwala ng pamilya ni Kim Sae Ron, ang nangyari sa whistleblower ay may kinalaman sa hawak nitong audio recording na naglalaman ng diumano'y pag-amin ni Kim Sae Ron na nagkarelasyon sila ni Kim Soo Hyun noong siya ay nasa "middle school" pa lamang.

Iginigiit ng pamilya ni Kim Sae Ron na 15 years old lamang ang aktres at 27 naman si Kim Soo Hyun nang magsimula ang kanilang relasyon na tumagal umano ng anim na taon — mula huling bahagi ng 2015 hanggang unang bahagi ng 2022.
Taliwas ito sa ipinaglalaban ni Kim Soo Hyun na nasa hustong edad na si Kim Sae Ron nang magkaroon sila ng relasyon.
Tumagal lamang daw ng isang taon ang kanilang ugnayan — mula summer (June to August) ng 2019 hanggang autumn (September to November) ng 2020.

Bukod pa rito, nasa audio recording din ang diumano'y pag-amin ni Kim Sae Ron na pakiramdam daw niya ay nagamit lang siya ni Kim Soo Hyun.
May ilang sensitibong detalye rin daw na nabanggit ang aktres sa recording na may kaugnayan sa pagsama ni Kim Soo Hyun sa ibang babae habang karelasyon pa nito si Kim Sae Ron.

"I dated Soo Hyun oppa. You might say I’m crazy and not believe me, but I dated him since I was in middle school, and we broke up after I went to college.

Dahil sa naturang audio recording, paglabag sa Child Welfare Act ang isinampang reklamo ng pamilya ni Kim Sae Ron kay Kim Soo Hyun.
Pahayag ng kanilang legal counsel: "The bereaved family filed a criminal complaint against Kim Soo Hyun for violation of the Child Welfare Act and for false accusation.
"Article 17, Clause 2 of the Child Welfare Act punishes those who force a child to engage in obscene acts, mediate such acts, or commit sexual harassment or other forms of sexual abuse against a child.
"The family has confirmed that Kim Soo Hyun forced the late Kim Sae Ron, when she was a minor in her second year of middle school during winter break, to engage in obscene acts and subjected her to sexual harassment and other forms of sexual abuse, and has therefore filed a complaint for violation of the Child Welfare Act."

"The bereaved family wanted an apology from Kim Soo Hyun, but what they received instead was a lawsuit and criminal complaint for damages amounting to approximately 12 billion won, as well as a press conference from Kim Soo Hyun in which he consistently denied ever having dated the late Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor and stated that he would prove the truth through an official investigation.
"In response, the family has been cooperating fully with the investigation, providing all materials requested by the authorities."

Sa isinagawa raw nilang inisyal na imbestigasyon, napag-alaman nilang gawa lang ito sa AI (Artificial Intelligence) para palabasing si Kim Sae Ron ang nagsasalita sa audio recording.

Anila: "During the press conference, Garosero Research Institute asserted that they had obtained an audio recording involving the late actress Kim Sae Ron.
"However, this audio file is entirely fabricated. Gold Medalist has determined that the recording was created using AI or similar technology.
"The individual who provided this audio file to Garosero Research Institute (hereinafter 'the audio file provider') is a fraudster who also approached Gold Medalist, claiming to possess a recording in which the late Kim Sae Ron made statements favorable to actor Kim Soo Hyun.
"The audio file provider demanded money from Gold Medalist and sent a portion of the recording, which was manipulated to imitate the late Kim Sae Ron’s voice. Gold Medalist did not comply with any of the provider’s demands.
"The audio file provider is someone who could not possibly have had any contact with the late Kim Sae Ron. When their attempt to defraud Gold Medalist failed, they colluded with Garosero Research Institute to release the fabricated audio file.
"As previously mentioned, Gold Medalist believes that the provider used AI or similar means to forge a recording of the late Kim Sae Ron’s voice. We are currently conducting a technical analysis of the file and will share the results as soon as they are available."
