Looks like trouble is brewing in Hawkins!
Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown has reportedly filed a harassment and bullying complaint against her co-star David Harbour, who plays her on-screen adoptive father, Chief Jim Hopper.
According to several reports, the 21-year-old actress allegedly submitted the complaint ahead of filming the show’s final season.

A source told British site Daily Mail on Sunday, November 2, 2025, that there were “pages and pages of accusations,” and that the internal investigation involving David “went on for months.”
The same report clarified that there were no claims of sexual misconduct connected to the complaint.

Millie also allegedly had a personal representative on set during the filming of Stranger Things Season 5, which reportedly wrapped up in December 2024.
As of writing, Netflix, Millie, and David have yet to release official statements about the issue.
Millie and David’s bond in Stranger Things
Fans of Stranger Things know the heartwarming bond between Eleven (played by Millie) and Hopper (played by David)—a father-daughter relationship that has become one of the emotional backbones of the hit Netflix series.

That’s why this controversy came as a shock to many, especially since David himself has spoken fondly of Millie in past interviews.

In a 2021 interview, David recalled how their friendship started when Millie was still a young teen just entering the industry.
"Millie and I have always had sort of a special relationship because I knew her when she was so young.
"I knew her before any of this big fame hit.
"I have a real protective feeling for her. I have a real, like worry. I worry about her and the fame and all that she has to struggle with.
"And I've just always felt this kind of deep fatherly affection for her," he said.

Despite the controversy, Stranger Things is moving forward with its fifth and final season, which will be released in three parts: Volume 1 on November 26, Volume 2 on December 5, and the finale on December 31, 2025.
