Rumors that TWICE member Tzuyu is leaving JYP Entertainment after more than a decade with the agency have sparked widespread discussion among K-pop fans.
On July 14, 2026, South Korean media outlet News1 reported that Tzuyu has decided not to renew her exclusive contract with JYP Entertainment.

The report also stated that although she has chosen not to renew with the company, she is expected to continue participating in future activities as a full member of TWICE alongside fellow members Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Mina, Dahyun, and Chaeyoung.

However, JYP Entertainment has not confirmed the report.
In a statement released shortly after the news surfaced, the agency said that TWICE is still discussing contract renewals.
A representative from JYP Entertainment was quoted as saying in Soompi's report: "TWICE is currently in the period of discussing contract renewals, and we will inform you as soon as matters are finalized."

TZUYU'S CAREER
Tzuyu debuted as a member of TWICE in 2015 after appearing on the South Korean reality television show Sixteen.
Since then, the group has become one of K-pop's biggest acts, releasing hits such as "What Is Love?," "Fancy," "Like OOH-AHH," "Likey," "CHEER UP," "I can't stop me," "TT," "Feel Special," and "The Feels."

In 2022, all nine TWICE members renewed their contracts with JYP Entertainment.
