Sarah Geronimo is nominated in the Best Southeast Asia Act category of the 2016 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA).
The Filipina singer is one of six nominees including Dong Nhi of Vietnam, Gentle Bones of Singapore, Raisa Andriana of Indonesia, Thaitanium of Thailand, and Yuna of Malaysia.
This marks the third time that Sarah is nominated in the Best Southeast Asia Act category.
The Popstar Princess won as the Best Southeast Asia Act in the 2014 MTV Europe Music Awards.
However, she did not make it to the Worldwide Act: Asia award.

She also bagged a nomination in the 2013 MTV Europe Music Awards.

Another Pinay singer, Donnalyn Bartolome, has a chance to make it as wildcard nominee in the 2016 MTV EMA.
Donnalyn became an online sensation after the release of her single "Kakaibabe."
Fans get to decide who will be the seventh nominee in the Best Southeast Asia Act category.
Donnalyn is competing against Bunkface of Malaysia, The Sam Willows of Singapore, SHAE of Indonesia, and ToR+ Saksit of Thailand.
Voting period is until September 27, 5:59 a.m. (Singapore).
MTV will announce the official 2016 EMA nominees on September 27.
The winner, which will be determined via online votes, will represent the region in the Worldwide Act: Asia category.
The awarding ceremony of the 2016 MTV Europe Music Awards will take place on November 6 at the Ahoy Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
