“Kasi yung Filipinos, parang meron silang ano, e… parang ideal na image for each and every one.”

I force myself to be that kind of person?

“So, kapag may nababasa kaming comments na kailangan maging ganyan kami or what, I guess kailangan lang talaga mas kilala mo yung sarili mo.”

MARIS ON DEALING WITH NEGATIVE COMMENTS

Paliwanag niya, “Kunwari may mababasa kang ganyan… siyempre nakaka-hurt.

RESPONSIBLE USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA

“Once you’re careless… kasi you’re just inviting a lot of negativity around you.

“So, why not use social media in a very good way.”

“Kami, like mga tao na may followers—let’s say artista—maging supportive of each other,” ani Maris.

Paliwanag niya, “Kunwari may friend na may issue, be supportive of them.

“Ipakita sa followers niya na it’s okay to be like that.

“It’s okay to be yourself, kahit hindi ka gusto ng mga tao.

“Be supportive na lang, online and offline.”

MARIS SWITCHES TO OFFLINE MODE

Kuwento ni Maris, “May times na three days off ako.

“May times na three days akong hindi nagpo-post, nagtse-check, dine-delete ko yung apps, or ibinibigay ko yung phone ko. ‘Wag mo muna ibigay sa akin, kahit may message 'yan.’”

Paliwanag pa ni Maris, “Para sa akin po talaga, sa job po namin, lalo na sa aming… we’re just starting, merong sa subconscious mo, kailangan may effort ka to be visible everywhere.

“But talent talaga 'yan for me. Talent 'yan to be visible, at the same time you’re living your life as well.

“Kahit may control yung iba, like, kailangan hindi ganito, hindi ganyan mag-post… find balance in everything.”
