Nilinaw ni Gab Valenciano, 31, ang kanyang "step down" tweet tungkol sa isang pulitiko.
Ito ay matapos makatanggap ng pambabatikos ang anak nina Gary Valenciano at Angeli Pangilinan mula sa supporters ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Nakasaad sa tweet ni Gab noong March 26, 2020: “There’s corruption, then there’s pure idiocy.
“It’s one thing to steal our money, another to put your own people at risk.
“Disappointment isn’t the word. Disgust would be more appropriate.
“Step down, sir. Or we will do it for you.”
Hindi nagustuhan ng ilang netizens ang tweet na ito ni Gab na akala nila ay patungkol kay President Duterte.
Kinonekta ito ng netizens sa talumpati ng Pangulo noong April 1, kung saan nagbitaw ito ng bantang "shoot them dead" sa mga manggugulo ngayong ipinatutupad ang enhanced community quarantine.
GAB SAYS TWEET WAS FOR SENATOR PIMENTEL
Ngunit nilinaw ng Wowowin director na hindi para kay Pangulong Duterte ang kanyang tweet, kundi para kay Senator Pimentel.
Ito ang sagot niya sa isang netizen na nagsabing apat na taon na raw gustong patalsikin ng ilan si Pangulong Duterte pero hindi pa rin sila nagtagumpay.
Sabi ni Gab: “Hi. Please check the date. This was for Koko Pimentel. Thanks.”
March 26 ang tweet ni Gab.
Noong April 1 naman ang talumpati ni Pangulong Duterte.
GAB ISSUES LONG STATEMENT
Ngayong hapon ng Biyernes, April 3, naglabas ng mahabang pahayag si Gab sa kanyang Facebook account.
Dito ay ipinaliwanag niya na hindi talaga para kay Pangulong Duterte ang kanyang tweet.
Mensahe niya: “Dear Philippines. I love you with all my heart.
"But it saddens me to see what you’ve become.
"I posted a tweet about Koko Pimentel last Thursday, March 26.
"I know a few Pimentels who are amazing people, so I tried to remain as respectful as possible by not using the hashtag at the time, despite my anger and frustration.
"On April 1, President Duterte addresses the nation.
"For some reason, my week old tweet was taken out of context and now I am being bashed for it."
Ayon pa kay Gab, ang bashing sa kanya ay reflection ng kung anong klaseng mga tao mayroon sa lipunan ngayon.
Saad niya, "What you see here is a direct reflection of what many of us have become.
"Hateful, unkind and cruel.
"Not all of us thankfully, as you can see heroes rising on a daily basis.
"But it’s just sad to see, it’s disheartening but it’s the truth."
Hindi rin daw siya nanghihingi ng simpatiya sa kanyang statement.
"I am not posting this for sympathy, nor am I affected by what’s being said as these are complete strangers who don’t even know me, this is simply to show you what many of us have become.
"PS If you’re going to bash me, bash me for the right reason.
"Because I would gladly get roasted for my own beliefs than yours.

PIMENTEL’S BREACH OF QUARANTINE PROTOCOLS
Binatikos ng publiko si Senator Pimentel dahil sinamahan nito ang asawang si Kath Yu-Pimentel sa Makati Medical Center (MMC) noong March 24, kahit noon ay isa na siyang Person Under Investigation (PUI) para sa COVID-19.
Inalmahan ng pamunuan ng ospital ang kanyang “irresponsible and reckless action” dahil nalagay sa alanganin ang kanilang pasilidad at health workers.
Bukod rito, nagpunta pa sa isang malaking grocery store si Senator Pimentel kaya sumailalim din sa quarantine ang mga staff na direkta niyang nakasalamuha.
Sa huli, humingi ng dispensa si Pimentel sa Makati Medical Center.
Walang nabalitaang humingi siya ng dispensa sa malaking grocery store.
Iniimbitahan daw ang senador ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) upang magpaliwanag sa kanyang ginawang breach of quarantine protocols.
