Maine Mendoza is confirmed to be hosting a show on TV5.
She is part of the upcoming talent reality program, POPinoy, produced by TV5 and Cignal Entertainment.
This was announced by POPinoy's Twitter account this evening, May 11, 2021.
Maine will co-host the program with another Eat Bulaga! host, Paolo Ballesteros.
The reality show aims to look for the next boy group that will become a Pinoy Pop sensation.
Maja Salvador, Kayla Rivera, DJ Loonyo, and Jay-R will serve as the judges of the reality show.
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) first reported about Maine's upcoming TV5 show on March 1, 2021, through its Cabinet Files column.
Maine, although appearing in GMA-7 shows, is not an exclusive talent of the Kapuso network. She is managed by Triple A Management, APT Entertainment's talent management arm.
This means that doing a TV5 show does not have any conflict with Maine's obligations to her Kapuso shows.
Maine continues to appear in her shows with GMA-7: Eat Bulaga! and Daddy's Girl.
