Former GMA-7 actress Sunshine Dizon is seen entering the ABS-CBN compound for the first time, almost a month after she announced her transfer to the Kapamilya network.
Sunshine posted on Instagram a photo with It’s Showtime host and Encantadia co-star Karylle when they saw each other on the floor of ABS-CBN inside the ELJ Building last May 25.
She wrote in the caption, “Super happy to see my sister @anakarylle kahit bawal ang hug at kailangan mag usap across the barrier. Virtual hug na lang muna. Love you sis”
In the comments section, Karylle admitted she still couldn't believe seeing Sunshine as Kapamilya.
Karylle told Sunshine, “greenzone lang me!!! what a feeling!!! i couldn't believe my eyes sister. sorry wala akong confetti to welcome you but i am very very happy to welcome you IN PERSONAL hehe! love u”
GMA-7 director Mark Reyes, who directed Sunshine and Karylle in Encantadia, also left a comment in the photo.
He simply wrote, “Milestone moment”
Sunshine and Karylle, along with their two other Encantadia sisters Iza Calzado and Diana Zubiri, have a production company with Direk Mark called Sang’gre Productions.
The five of them are also known as good friends in show business.
Today, May 26, Karylle posted a video version of her surprise meet-up with Sunshine at ABS-CBN.
Karylle said in her caption, “LDR in the time of Covid. Happy to give a warm welcome to my sistah @m_sunshinedizon love u!!!!”
Sunshine described their reunion in the comments section as “Para tayo yung relative waiting sa airport”
Their Encantadia sisters Iza and Diana also left comments on Karylle's post.
Iza wrote "Ang sayaaaaa!!!!" while Diana left heart emojis in the comments section.
Sunshine was welcomed as a Kapamilya on April 30, 2021, the latest Encantadia lead star to transfer to ABS-CBN.
Before Sunshine's media conference on that day, she first had a video call with Karylle.
Karylle wrote in her Instagram post, “Wishing you all the best my dearest sistah @m_sunshinedizon! Congrats on the new show and welcome Kapamilya! Goosies when I saw the big announcement! Kailan ulit yung #ThePretendTalkShow natin? Season 2 na ba? Wowwww Hahahaha! Picture + video call as usual muna before Shine’s mediacon!”
Sunshine replied in the comments section, “Sister @anakarylle thank you for being my confidant and cheer leader through this. Love you”
Sunshine is part of the upcoming family rom-com series Marry Me, Marry You with another former Kapuso, Janine Gutierrez.
Among the Encantadia leads, it was Karylle who first transferred to ABS-CBN in 2008.
Iza followed in 2011 while Diana transferred to the Kapamilya network in 2012.
However, Diana has since become a freelancer, mainly doing projects for GMA-7 since 2016.
