"I love that she spoke up about it because, honestly, there’s no issue between us as individuals or even between other queens," diin ng 28-year-old beauity queen.

"It’s just really unfortunate that other people are craving issues and comparisons, and kind of putting us at war with each other when, in reality, there’s no such thing.

"And it would be nice for that kind of perceptions or conversations [to stop and just] celebrate each other."

Aniya, "We all do celebrate each other. Maybe not in the most public of ways, but we’re all communicating with each other and we support each other.

"So, I think it’s just unfortunate that there continues to be that false narrative of, ‘Oh, because she didn’t like this post or because she didn’t speak on this...’

"Or because of whatever reason that’s created, there’s this perception or this story or this narrative that they created that pits us against each other. And it’s completely false."

Patuloy ni Catriona, "So I love that Pia did speak up on that but it’s just sad that she had to, you know, because it shouldn’t even be something that is being perpetuated within the community of pageantry or amongst empowered and successful women.

"Because, all the queens the Philippines has ever created is being, you know, celebrated and experiencing successes in their own right.

"So we should continue celebrating that instead of finding reasons to pull them down or pit them against each other."

Aniya: "I would encourage them to really ask themselves why they feel like the need to continue fueling negatively positioned commentaries.

"Because I don’t think that’s what pageantry is about. Pageantry is about celebrating and lifting up each other.

"It is never been about, ‘How can I find the flaws in this person? How can I pull them down?’ It’s never been about that.

"Yes, it’s a competition, but the essence and the heart of pageantry is not about pitting women against each other. It’s about celebrating them."

Dagdag ni Catriona, "So, just to all those detractors and commenters that love to fuel these negative narratives or just pointed comments or bashing, just… if you really love pageantry, I would really encourage you why it is there, what is the point of pageantry.

"And just to think, perhaps, put yourself in the position of the receiving end of what you’re saying.

"Would you be able to say that to someone? How would you feel if someone said it to you? What if it was said to you with the groups of thousands or hundreds of comments, how would that start to affect you?"
