One Good Day star Ian Veneracion on his longevity in showbiz: "I think, if you enjoy telling stories, if you enjoy acquiring different shapes and trying different characters... There are many games that you can play as an actor, internal games, and it all happens inside your head and I really enjoy that."

"I'm never in it for fame or for money," diin ng actor-singer.

Paliwanag niya: "I think if you're gonna be an actor just because you wanna be rich or famous, I think you won't succed.

"I think, if you enjoy telling stories, if you enjoy acquiring different shapes and trying different characters...

"There are many games that you can play as an actor, internal games, and it all happens inside your head and I really enjoy that.

"Siguro that's why nag-e-enjoy din mga nakatrabaho ko because it was fun, I have so much fun doing it. I take my fun seriously and my games seriously."

"Being professional, of course. Ayokong may masasabi sa akin na na-late ako, or dumating iyan na di alam ang lines niya, or dumating sa set iyan na lasing—walang ganyan.

"I think it pays off. You gain a certain reputation for being reliable, and maybe I'm reaping the benefits now from my peers," saad ni Ian.

ON HEADLING AN ACTION SERIES

Tatakpan Ka Ng Dyaryo, Boy Praning: Utak Pulbura, Pugoy - Hostge: Davao, Isa Lang Ang Buhay Mo, Halang Ang Bituka, Kanto Boy 2, Pedrito Masangkay, Ben Balasador, Totoy Hitman, Bastardo, to name a few.

NOOD KA MUNA!

Saad niya, "Siyempre masaya and excited ako kasi I've been doing action movies before. Parang home court ko ito, e, so I'm very comforatable with the physical aspect of it and siyempre the acting part of it.

"Preparations? Martial arts siyempre, fight scenes. We had to do training with the stuntmen and also the camera works kasi kasama sa choreography yung camera.

And I'm so thankful na, yun nga, lumalawak pa yung platforms on how I can creatively express myself and perform in different mediums.

"And it's a good time to be an actor, it's a good time to be alive, kasi nga mayroon tayo iba't ibang channels.

ON OFFERS FROM TV NETWORKS

"Mas gugustuhin ko ngayon gumawa ng movies and TV series kasi ayokong itali ang sarili ko for a long time for a [full-length] serye, kasi paano na yung concerts?

"Wala. E, saka kung mayroon man, parte ng trabaho ko yun, e, parte yun of being an actor.

ON debate ABOUT K-DRAMA content

Paliwang ng aktor: "Well, of course, I'm not a lawmaker, I don't know the data, but in my own humble opinion, I'm not towards prohibiting anyone.

"I think competition is good, and I think we have to step up and raise the level of our game, the quality of our movies.

"Hopefully, we get the support of government and the people also na huwag nating hayaan na mamatay ang industriyang Filipino.

"I really believe in the Filipino talent, if we're given support lang, marami tayong magagawa.

"Just like kung gaano tayo kagaling in music, kahit saang pumunta kang cruise ship, Filipino ang mga tumutugtog sa mga hotels sa ibang bansa.

"Mahilig tayo sa arts talaga, so we really have good actors and writers and directors, cinematographers.

"Daming malulupit dito, hindi lang talaga nabibigyan ng break because of budget constraints."
