Sabi ng beauty queen sa kanyang Instagram post kagabi, June 8, 2023, “Hey everyone!
“I reflected on this post and I think this has been long overdue.
“I really wanted to speak out and speak up against those individuals who claim to be pageant fans but who have made it their past time to bring beauty queens down, only, they disguise it as support to their bets.”
Bilang isang beterana sa pageant world, batid niya ang kahalagahan ng malakas na support system para sa bawat kandidata.
Dagdag ni Pauline, “Being in the beauty pageant industry, my fellow queens and I understand the value of supporting other women, and lifting each other up through the different challenges we face.
“In this industry, that support system is one of the things that actually keeps us going.
"We chose to be in this industry, for its platform, its reach, the personal growth.
“We allow ourselves to be authentic and vulnerable in the sea of noise that tries to tell us how and who we should it be.
“Navigating through all of that without losing our sense of self is challenging already.
“Which is why genuine support and kindness is so impactful as it carries us through.”
Wala raw maitutulong ang pamba-bash ng ilang beauty queens para lamang iangat ang manok.
Nakakadismaya raw ang pamamaraang ito.
Dagdag niya, “But I will not stand for supporting a bet (kahit sino man!) if it is by bringing other queens down.
“It's so disappointing to see this happen online. And if that’s the way you show support, I can only implore you to rethink your actions and chose kindness instead.
“Lifting one person up doesn’t need to be through the destruction of someone else.”
