Pormal nang naghain ng kanyang counter-affidavit ang American actor na si Lee O’Brian sa Bureau of Immigration (BI) kaugnay ng deportation complaint na inihain laban sa kanya ng aktres at dating partner na si Pokwang.
Isinumite ni Lee ang kanyang sagot sa opisina ng BI sa Intramuros, Manila, kahapon, June 26, 2023.
Base sa ibinahaging video ng TV5 reporter na si MJ Marfori, sinabi ni Lee na sa kabila ng reklamong inihain laban sa kanya ni Pokwang, mataas pa rin ang respeto niya rito bilang ina ng kanilang anak.
Sina Lee at Pokwang ay may limang taong gulang na anak na babae, si Malia O’Brian.
Pahayag ni Lee, “Just filed the counter-affidavit to the complaint filed by Marietta Subong.
“You know, what I’d like to say is, first of all, above everything, I always have respect for the mother of my child.
“Second of all, because this is a quasi issue for the Bureau of Immigration, I can’t comment on details. That’s just the nature of the issue.
“But I want to say something that from the beginning, throughout, until today and beyond, from here on out, I always put the interest of my daughter first.
“I love my daughter more than anything, all right?”
Umapela rin si Lee sa kinauukulan na maging patas sa pagdedesisyon sa reklamo ni Pokwang dahil hindi naman daw maikakailang sikat at maimpluwensiyang personalidad ang komedyana.
Saad niya, “And I’d like to say also, given the fact that the complainant is very well-known, widely known throughout this country and very, very influential, I am basically asking and pleading with the Philippine government and the Bureau of Immigration to look at my case, my deportation case, fairly and with justice, according to the merits of the case.
"And whatever I filed here, I would plead with them to look at it justly."
