Matagal na si Ian Veneracion sa showbiz, pero hanggang ngayon ay marami pa rin siyang gustong makatrabaho, lalo na pagdating sa kanyang music career.
Sa panayam ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sa mediacon ng upcoming concert niyang Ian Veneracion Live nitong Lunes, Hulyo 24, 2023, sa Ballroom A ng Winford Resort & Casino Manila, ikinuwento ni Ian kung sino ang gusto niyang maka-collaborate.
Ang nangunguna sa listahan niya ay sina Bea Alonzo at Daniel Padilla.
“Gusto kong maka-collab sa concert? Well, I’d like to perform with… nag-guest na si Bea sa akin dati, and maraming fans ang nagre-request na mag-concert kami or mag-guest siya sa concert, yung ganun.
“So I look forward to that.
“Kami ni DJ [Daniel], we share the same… yung playlist namin halos pareho. We listen to the same music kahit na hindi kami magka-edad, mahilig kami sa blues, rock. So maybe in the future we’ll have, we’ll get to play together.
“Lagi akong nagge-guest sa concert niya, lagi din siyang nagge-guest pag meron ako, so yun."
Nagbalik-tanaw naman si Ian sa isang performance na talagang memorable sa kanya dahil kinabahan siya.

"Pero ang naaalala ko kabadung-kabado ako nung makaka-duet ko si Regine Velasquez, kasi, di ba. Naku, hindi ako puwedeng ma-flat dito,” at tumawa si Ian.
“Hindi ako puwedeng hindi umabot, ang taas pa naman nung kanta, yung ganun, hindi ko naman puwedeng pababaan.
"Baka magalit, baka sabihin niya, di ba, Regine, tapos ibababa mo yung key, hindi puwede, di ba?
“So nakaka-pressure, pero yun. Marami, marami akong gustong makatrabaho, e.
“Yung mga iniidolo ko sa music sa Philippines."

IAN VENERACION'S LIFE MOTTO
Samantala, nabanggit din ni Ian na sa kabila ng pagiging matagumpay na aktor sa pelikula at telebisyon, sikat na product endorser, at mahusay na concert artist, marami pa siyang ibang bagay na gustong ma-achieve.
Aniya, “I’ve been very lucky because everybody’s been so kind, from my peers to the networks to the bosses to the producers, and, siyempre, the fans.
“Of course, I constantly ask, 'Why are these people so kind to me?'
“I still don’t have the answer to that.
“Ano ang gusto kong ma-achieve? Actually, the first forty years of my life I was trying to add… parang you want to have this, you want to have more friends, or you want to have another house, or ipon ka for another car, another this, another that.
“But after forty… siguro yung mid-life crisis sa akin ang epekto, I started to subtract, so I’ve been subtracting, I don’t need a hundred friends, I just need a few pero the reliable ones."
Dagdag pa ng actor/singer, “You know, it’s like a filter, and even the people I work with, I’m very particular na kailangan good vibes, alam mo yun.
"Kasi we’re here on a limited time lang naman, e, so might as well work on the quality, the quality of the experience, the quality of what you’re doing, and the quality of yung samahan.
“And it’s based on competence, hindi barkadahan… I mean, barkadahan, sure, pero pag trabaho, trabaho talaga, yung ganun.
“So, ah tapos hindi ko alam kung sino nagsabi pero I really liked it: ‘True power lies not in having more but in needing less,’ and I so agree with that.
“So I’ve been subtracting the last decade, I plan to subtract some more.”
