Ipinagpaliban muna ni Miss Philippines Earth 2016 Imelda Schweighart ang plano niyang pagsabak sa Miss Universe Philippines.
Sa Instagram at Facebook ngayong Huwebes, February 22, 2024, inihayag ni Imelda ang kanyang paliwanag kung bakit hindi siya tumuloy sa national beauty pageant.
Ayon sa beauty queen, may mga bagay na hindi umayon sa kanyang plano kaya napilitan siyang umurong sa Miss Universe Philippines 2024 kahit pinaghandaan niya ito ng anim na buwan.
Saad ni Imelda, "A lot might ask why I wasnt able to join Miss Universe Philippines 2024 despite my 6 month preparation.
"There were some forces that truly was not in my best interest and I was forced to withdraw from my 2024 goal of joining."
Sa kabila nito, nagpapasalamat pa rin siya sa mga taong tumulong sa kanyang preparasyon.
Aniya, "Nevertheless, i am still grateful to all my sponsors like @yseraaesthetics and @fightclubphilippines to all my coaches advisors and mentors.
"I am truly grateful for your help in preparing me. I decided to withdraw and not push through truly because I feel I am not ready aside from the other technical mishaps."
Kahit hindi natuloy ang kanyang plano, magpapatuloy pa rin daw si Imelda sa pagpupursige at aantayin ang tamang panahong hinog na siya sa national pageant.
"I want all my supporters, fans to know that i am continuing even off competition and will allow the universe decide when is the best time to compete.
"Thank you so much to everyone who see potential in me and believe in what i do on stage as a performer and director. I promise that when the right time comes i will deliver and won’t let you down. This is not the end.

Sabi niya sa caption, “The first Palaweña in history to ever win the main title as Miss Philippines Earth” on this day out of 46 delegates. How those stars aligned for HER.
"Pageantry is a career and we must give respect to those due of it. I do say, a lot, that, pageant girls are discriminated in the career world for choosing such a risky career path, just like football or boxing in the men’s division, only one or a team can win.
"But in pageantry?
"You compete with multiple women to get one crown, and one alone."
Ayon kay Imelda, hindi niya priority noon ang pageantry. Pero ito raw ang pumili sa kanya. At dito siya namayagpag.
Saad niya, "I did not choose this path but circumstance did, i have other dreams, yet this is where i excel the most. Ive had many trainings in various fields of performing arts yet, this is where all my trainings seem to shine.
"There are paths where we don’t choose, it chooses us. The only thing we need to recognize, what is. Once we do, a purpose we never knew we serve, will be delivered for the next generation and so on."

Hindi pa sinasabi ni Imelda kung kailan niya itutuloy ang planong pagsali sa Miss Universe Philippines, pero maraming fans ang nagsasabing may 2025 pa naman.
Samantala, 54 candidates na lamang ang natitirang candidates sa Miss Universe Philippines 2024 dahil nag-back out si Miss Kananga Natasha Ellema Jung sa kumpetisyon.
