Rayver Cruz sends reassurance to his fans following a live stream incident deemed offensive by some netizens.
On March 16, 2024, social media platform X (formerly Twitter) was set ablaze with discussions surrounding a live stream featuring celebrity couple Rayver Cruz and Julie Anne San Jose.

The controversy erupted when clips from the stream were uploaded by an X user, triggering a wave of criticism and accusations from netizens, with many questioning Rayver's behavior.
In the published videos, Rayver can be seen in a frolicsome mood, subtly tapping on Julie Anne's head at one point.
He also answered questions from the fans in a goofy manner, like how he replied to a netizen asking about their preparations before live performances.
Rayver said, "Yung paghahanda namin nag ano kami parang sa rehearsal room, naghawak-hawak kami ng mga kamay, and then pumikit kami, and then dinaramdam lang namin ang isa't isa, and then 'Yeah let's do this brad,'" before breaking out in a huge laugh.
The caption accompanying the clips raised concerns about alleged drug use and inappropriate conduct: "May pa drug test ba kayo @gmanetwork at @AllOutSundays7 bago mag prod or pumasok ang artists niyo? Mukhang nakalusot e.
"Ang lala ni rayver cruz, lasing ba siya or naka marijuana? Tamang laughtrip at kita na sabog e"
Julie Anne, responding to the allegations, expressed her disappointment with the harsh accusations and urged for a halt to the unwarranted attacks.
Her comment read: "Minsan lang po ako sumagot sa mga ganto but sobra ka na po. Below the belt and harsh na po itong accusations, please stop [folded hands emoji]"
Shortly after, Rayver himself took to X to address the controversy and apologize to those offended by his actions during the live stream.
"Sa mga na offend sa kilos ko kanina sa live stream namin, sorry. But I was just being myself," he wrote.
In his apology, Rayver explained that his behavior was cheeky and reflective of his genuine happiness, especially when in the company of his partner.
"Playful and happy talaga ako. Lalo na when I'm with my love. She knows that, she knows me.
"I don't usually speak up pero ibang usapan na ang accusations. Una, hinding hindi ko kayang saktan si Julie. My mom raised me right."
He justified: "Hinawakan ko yung bohok nya na lagi kong ginagawa sa mga iba pa namin videos pag magkasama kami pero kung iba po ang dating sa ibang tao wala na po ako magagawa don [folded hands emoji]
"I respect Julie sobra sobra and sobra ko syang mahal pati ang family nya.
"Pangalawa, may respeto ako sa trabaho ko at sa mga katrabaho ko. Hinding hindi ako gagawa ng makakasira dun.
"At sana, matuto na rin tayo rumespeto sa iba at maging malawak ang pag-iisip. Salamat po and goodnight! [heart emojis]"
