With tickets to P-pop girl group BINI's two-day major concert selling out fast, record label Star Music announced on Saturday, August 31, 2024, the addition of a new date to accommodate more fans.

This means the concert will now be a three-day event, taking place on November 16, 17, and 18 this year at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Formed in 2019, BINI—lifted from the word "binibini" —is composed of Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena.

The eight-piece group is behind the hit songs "Pantropiko" and "Salamin, Salamin."

BLOOMS CALL OUT MANAGEMENT

But while extending the concert is a welcome development for some fans, others are not enthusiastic about this latest move.

Immediately after the announcement, the topics "LET BINI REST," "LET THE GIRLS REST" and "NO TO GBC DAY 3" trended on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

Apparently, Blooms—the fandom name of BINI's fans—are wondering if the group will have enough stamina to perform on three consecutive concert dates.

Some questioned whether the group agreed to the additional concert date or if the decision was solely made by management.

Others suggested offering a live stream of the concert instead and scheduling another major show next year.

This would give the girls enough time to rest and prepare, while also allowing fans to save money for tickets.

As one of the hottest acts in the local music scene today, BINI has had a jam-packed schedule in recent months, including shows, endorsements, public appearances, and shoots.

In a statement, fans said that they "vehemently condemn the actions made by Star Music Philippines for taking such actions at the expense of BINI members' health and well-being."

They alleged that the management treats the group as a commodity and "mere products" and that "Grand BINIverse Day 3 is not necessary."

The statement went on to call for the cancellation of the concert's third day, urging organizers to "prioritize BINI's overall health and safety."
