Sa pakikipagkuwentuhan ni Enrique Gil sa Real Talk ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) noong April 18, 2026, inusisa namin kung merong katotohanan na minsan niyang binalak na lumipat sa GMA-7.
October 2022 nang lumutang ang balitang napipintong lumipat ang aktor na noo'y 14 years na homegrown talent ng ABS-CBN.
Sinasabing kinukuha raw siya ng Kapuso Network noon.
Ayon kay Enrique, totoong na-consider niya ang posibilidad na lumipat ng network noon.
"Well, I didn't have a contract with ABS. So, you know, me and my manager were just, you know, keeping our options open.
"Of course, at that time, ABS was still our number one. But we weren't really sure what was gonna happen.
"Super uncertain times, especially with all the shutdown and everything."
May mga lumabas pang balita na diumano ay may "demands" ang kanyang kampo ngunit hindi na ito namin naitanong sa kanya.

Dagdag niya sa network-switch issue, "So, at end of the day, as much as they're my family, I grew up with them, still a business, di ba?
"So that was... it was really just keeping our options open. I think that's just the smartest thing to do during that time."
Ang huling teleserye ni Enrique sa ABS-CBN ay Make It With You kasama ang noo'y reel-and-real-life sweetheart niya na si Liza Soberano.
Naputol sa ere ang serye noong unang bugso ng COVID-19 pandemic at pinagbawal ang tapings noong March 2020.
Hindi na ito nakabalik sa ere nang ibasura ng gobyerno ang franchis renewal application ng ABS-CBN noong June 2020.
Taong 2023 at pumirma pa si Enrique ng exclusive contract sa ABS-CBN, pero hindi natuloy ang dapat sana'y proyekto niya sa dating home network.
Naging abala si Enrique sa pagco-produce ng dalawang pelikula, ang I am Not Big Bird at Strange Frequencies noong 2024.
ON TV COMEBACK AFTER SIX YEARS
Natuloy ang pagbabalik-telebisyon ni Enrique sa A Secret In Prague sa TV5.
Excited si Enrique dahil hindi lamang bida kundi co-producer din siya rito.
Ang film company niya na Slingshot Production ay katuwang ng MQuest Ventures ng TV5.
Aniya, "Parang hindi totoo, e, kasi parang almost five years in the making po to, e, kasi ang daming..."
Sa puntong ito inamin ni Enrique na noong unang pinaplano ang proyekto ay ibang TV networks ang kausap niya.
"This was green lit by GMA and ABS as well. Yes, yes, both po. But then there's some stuff that happened on negotiations and so..."
Napunta sa TV5?
Pagsang-ayon niya, "Napunta po sa TV5."
Ano ang meaning nito sa kanya?
Kuwento niya, "But not only just for the project, but ang iniisip ko po rin ko kasi dito, yung longevity for my production company.
"And I just felt like TV5 was the perfect home for my production company.
"As a business."
Nakausap ng PEP si Enrique nang bumisita sila ng A Secret in Prague co-star niyang si Andrea Brillantes sa Summit Media office noong April 18.

Napanood na ang ilang episodes ng serye sa Netflix kagabi, April 24, at sa TV5 naman ay magsisimula itong umere sa April 27.

Ano ang sikreto sa Prague na ipapalabas sa serye?
Natatawa niyang sagot, "Secret. Yun, abangan niyo yun po."
Ang inspirasyon daw nito ay ang mga Hollywood blockbuster films na Salt at Mr. & Mrs. Smith, na may temang action, comedy, at light romance.
Paliwanag ng aktor, "Actually, yung peg ko dito Ryan Reynolds, e, kasi sabi ko, 'Nakakatuwa yung mga shows niya kahit action siya, seryoso, nangingibaw yung comedy niya.
"So light pa rin siya, engaging siya. Pero even the kids and the younger audience can also watch it, di ba? Pati yung mga nanay matutuwa din sila."
May halong comedy din ang A Secret in Prague.
"Yes po," sagot ni Enrique.
"Hindi lang yun. Pati kami, siyempre we were pushing for more romance sa trailer. Pero yung pag napanood niyo po, makikita niyo halos lahat comedy talaga. Yun yung hindi pa namin naibibigay.
"So, iba-iba yung trailer namin, we want action, more action-driven trailer.
"We have a romantic-driven trailer. May comedy-driven trailer. Pero we were pushing the romance muna."

A Secret in Prague extended already even before airing
Bilang co-producer, may plano bang ma-extend ang serye sakaling pumatok ito?
Masayang balita ni Enrique, "We're actually extended na po. As of 15th of May, meron, extended na po. By a couple of weeks lang. So from 16 weeks medyo humaba pa ng ilang weeks ng konti."
So ibig sabihin ay kumikita na ito kahit papaano?
Bulalas niya, "Meron na. Meron na kahit papano."
Dahil may halong aksyon, fast-paced daw ang execution ng kuwento.
Sa first week ay inaasahang may establishing scenes para sa main plot, pero biglang third week, second week, binali na agad."
Mayroon na raw agad revelations sa storya sa third week pa lang ng serye, kahit na originally ay sa sixth week pa raw dapat ito ilalabas.
"So we actually pushed the pace, yeah, a lot by three weeks ahead," ani Enrique.
Sinusulat pa rin daw ang script nito habang nagpapatuloy pa sila sa production.
