Nagsalita na ang talent manager na si Shirley Kuan tungkol sa paghihiwalay nila ng landas ng dating alaga na si Bea Alonzo.
Ginawa niya ito sa pamamagitan ng isang intimate talk sa select members ng entertainment press, kabilang na ang PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), sa isang restaurant sa Quezon City ngayong hapon ng Lunes, August 24, 2026.
Ipinaliwanag ng talent manager kung bakit nagdesisyon siyang magpa-interview: upang sabihan ang kanyang "truth" at ipagtanggol ang kanyang sarili.
Ito ay matapos siyang pagbintangan na siya umanong dahilan kaya hindi natuloy ang kasal ni Bea sa billionaire scion na si Vincent Co sa Spain noong Mayo.
"The reason I called for this little interview, kasi I feel that it's time for me to tell the truth and defend myself," panimula ni Shirley.
"Kasi parang mali yung mga isinusulat at the part na nagtampo ako kasi hindi ako pinagtanggol. Nagmukha akong weakling.
"Bakit ko hinihintay na ipagtanggol ako ni Bea? Kaya ko naman ipagtanggol ang sarili ko. But you have to know why."
Lahad niya: "Nung lumabas yung article na ako daw ang reason or culprit, whatever they call it, or the meddler, kaya na-cancel yung wedding in Spain...
"Immediately when I saw it, I called Bea. I said, 'Bea, what's this?' Tapos sabi niya, 'I don't know.'
"And I said, 'We both know the truth, right?' And sabi niya agad sa akin, 'Please, SK, promise me you won't say anything kasi ayaw ko nang lumaki pa.'
"And siyempre pagbibigyan mo yung alaga ko, heartbroken at that time, you know.
"You try to accommodate her wishes kasi ayaw niya sigurong lumaki na.
"So talaga I kept quiet, but ayaw tumigil. Ayaw tumigil. Lalo akong... Dahil hindi ako sumasagot, lalo akong tinitira and patindi na nang patindi.
"But because I promised her, I kept quiet. Okay? In other words, she did not allow me to defend myself.
"I didn't take it against her because at that time, that's how she felt, and I respected that.
"Kaso, pati nung natuloy na, ako pa rin ang villain. Parang, teka lang, 'Why am I supposed to be the villain here?' Wala naman akong ginawa.
"So when I talked to Bea, well, the reason why they're making me a villain, just to let you know in case you didn't hear it or read it, parang, 'Finally natuloy din ang kasal kasi hindi na nakialam si Shirley Kuan.'
"Parang ginawa pa rin akong kontrabida. Hindi ko na lang sinagot din.
"Kasi nga, ako naman, ang reason ko ngayon, kasi kinasal na, e. Why would I be, why would I rain on their parade?
:Let them be happy. Ayaw kong maging... ayaw ko nga maging kontrabida."
Nang mag-resign si Shirley bilang talent manager ni Bea, nilinaw raw niya sa aktres na hindi siya ang dahilan kaya nakansela ang kasal nina Bea at Vincent sa Spain.
"Nung kinausap ko si Bea, when I resigned last August 11, ako, sabi ko, 'Bea, I just wanna make it clear. Malinaw naman tayo, di ba, na ako ba nagpa-cancel nung kasal niyo?'
"Sabi, 'No. Hindi,' sabi niya.
"'Okay, I'll go further pa. At any time, kahit pabiro, even in jest, did I tell you to cancel the wedding? Baka nakalimutan ko lang.'
"Sabi niya, 'No, never.'
"Okay, malinaw yan. Meron akong resibo.
"Kung gusto niyong malaman, I can prove na hindi ako kasali diyan. Okay?
"Ang tanong, yung mga nagpapalabas na kasalanan ko, ako yung nagpa-cancel, maglabas sila ng resibo. Kasi ako kaya kong maglabas."

SHIRLEY KUAN-BEA ALONZO: THE LAST STRAW
August 11, 2026 nang tinapos ni Shirley ang kanyang professional relationship as talent manager kay Bea.
Paano humantong sa hiwalayan nang landas ang anim na taong samahan nila?
Pagbabahagi ni Shirley: "I confronted her about those two things. And then, over the phone na lang kasi nagmamadali na ako.
"I couldn't wait to, to do a face-to-face because I was already ready to leave.
"The third trigger poin, that was the last straw, was there was this event that... that's my deal.
"I closed this event. I was talking to the client and preparing this event, and I was told by client that I'm disinvited. And I already know. I already know what happened.
"Even if the client didn't wanna tell me because, I just wanna protect the client.
"Basta in other words, I already know who it is. And I told them, sabi, 'Wag ka magalit. Babawi kami sa yo.'
"Hindi ako galit, but I'm... I'll be a hypocrite if I tell you I'm not offended because this has never been done to me.
"Wala naman akong kasalanan, di ba? What have I done? So anyways, I didn't.
"Sabi ko, 'Don't worry, I'm not going if that's your, you know, that's your request.'
"But that's very offensive and that will... that's not something I can accept. And I told Bea, 'That's the last straw.'
"After I told her that and she said, 'No, I didn't know about that. Di ko alam yan.'
"'Okay, now I'm telling you. And this very moment,' this is what I said, 'As of this very moment, and as of this very day, I am no longer your manager.' That's how I told her.
"August 11th. I was told... I was disinvited August 10th."
Hindi na sinabi ni Shirley kung anong event ito.
Anong reaksiyon ni Bea noong sinabi niyang magre-resign na siya?
"She said, 'How, how did it come to this?' I said, 'I don't know. I had no idea. Bakit ako sinisiraan non-stop?'
"Ang sabi ko, 'Bea, you never defended me. Hindi mo ako pinagtanggol, e.' I said that.
"I didn't mean naman. Kasi alam ko naman, Bea, hindi mahilig yan mag-public, interview.
"Ang sa akin, maski privately, you could have told whoever that is the truth. Na wala, hindi ako... na wala akong alam diyan. Hindi ako nakialam ever.
"So she... I said, one more. I promised her I'm not gonna make any announcement about the resignation. But I said, one more. Tirahin pa ako isa.
"You are giving me no choice but to defend myself because enough is enough."
