Thai actor Aston Ratiphat Luengvoraphan described Team Star Magic as "very handsome people" during the August 23 press conference held for The Star Magic All-Star Games 2026.
Aston is the lead star of the BL (Boys' Love) series Boys in Love, where he is paired with Chokun Puttipong.
When asked what did they think of Team Star Magic Philippines after meeting them for the first time, Aston spoke for his fellow GMMTV actors: "I think they all stood out. They’re all very handsome.”
Ryu Phudtripart quipped, “And buff.”
Aston continued, “It was an honor to meet them, and hopefully we’ll have a great day today.”
When asked if they have a favorite Filipino dish, Ryu replied, “Everything matches my taste buds. I enjoyed all the food here."
The Star Magic Shooting Stars scored 68 points, while Thailand’s GMMTV All Stars got 43 points during the international celebrity basketball showdown.
Gerald Anderson was named MVP of the main game. He served as the captain/playing coach of Team Star Magic (Philippines) that comprised of Ronnie Alonte, Jeremiah Lisbo, JM Ibarra, Emilio Daez, River Joseph, Young JV, Tristan Ramirez, Argel Saycon, Ashton Salvador, and Elyson De Dios.
Team GMMTV (Thailand) was led by captain Joss Way-ar, alongside Neo Trai, twins AJ and JJ Jutamas, Gawin Caskey, Ryu, Aston, Marc Natarit, Ping Krittanun, and Teshow Promsaka Na Sakolnakorn.
Star Magic artist Chloe Webber hosted the presscon that took place at MOA Arena before the main game.
Star Magic talent and Filipino-Thai Alex Khunkhwamdee served as interpreter during the event.

JOSS-GAWIN REUNITED
Last July 28, Joss and Gawin held their Heat and Beat concert at Union Mall, Bangkok, Thailand.
When asked about his most memorable moment from the event, Gawin said, pointing at Joss: “I think it’s seeing him play an instrument live on stage. I’m very proud of him for doing that.”
For their reunion project, Joss and Gawin will topbill the upcoming Thai series, Round One.
Joss is thankful that he is undergoing boxing training again after winning the celebrity boxing match 10 Fight 10 in 2022.
The Thai celebrity underwent major eye surgery that limits heavy sparring.
“I had a lens put inside my eye, so I can no longer spar," explained the actor who portrays a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter in the show.
"I have to be careful. If I get hit in my eye, there’s a chance the lens might move, and I was just getting good.
“But coming back for Round One, my character is an MMA fighter, so there’s a lot more fighting involved, including more striking and Muay Thai.
"I also get to learn more ground game, which is something I’ve always wanted to do. It’s just a blessing to be part of this series.”

ASTON-CHOKUN TANDEM
"I'm being very, very shy," admitted Aston when he was asked how his onscreen partner Chokun supports him.
"Chokun is a very supportive person, whether to me or any friends he has. So whenever I do anything or whenever I face any challenges, he's always the first person to like encourage me, to text me and to make sure I'm okay.
"I feel very good to have him in my corner and hopefully I'll have him in my corner for a very, very long time."
