Balik sa Thailand ang grand coronation ng Miss Grand International 2026.
Hindi raw kasi nasunod ng India, ang host country dapat ngayong 2026, ang ilang importanteng napagkasunduan sa kontrata.
Kabilang na rito ang paghahanda ng "five-star hospitality and maintain five-star production standards" sa buong kumpetisyon.
Sa inilabas na pahayag ng Miss Grand International Organization ngayong Huwebes, September 3, 2026, sinabi ritong ang mga nakasaad na kasunduan sa kontrata ay magbibigay raw sa mga kalahok ng "safety, comfort, and overall experience of our contestants."
Samakatuwid, hindi umano nasunod ang mga alintuntuning nakasaad sa pinirmahang kontrata.
"Miss Grand International would like to officially announce that the organization has decided to discontinue all activities related to Miss Grand International 2026 in India and relocate the remaining activities of the competition to Thailand.
"This decision has been made following the host country’s failure to fulfill the contractual commitments and standards agreed upon with Miss Grand International.
"Under the terms of the agreement, the host country is required to provide five-star hospitality and maintain five-star production standards throughout the competition.
"These requirements are essential to ensuring the safety, comfort, and overall experience of our contestants, as well as maintaining the professional standards and integrity of Miss Grand International.
"Unfortunately, despite discussions and efforts to address the situation, the agreed contractual standards have not been met."
Dahil dito, ititigil na lahat ng pre-pageant activities na nasimulan na sa India at bumalik sa home country ng MGI, ang Thailand.
"As a result, Miss Grand International has determined that continuing the competition under the current circumstances would not be in the best interests of the contestants, staff, partners, or the organization.
"After careful consideration, Miss Grand International has therefore made the decision to end all activities in India and proceed with the competition in Thailand.
"Miss Grand International 2026 will take place in Thailand from September 18 to October 10, 2026.
"Further details regarding the schedule, venues, activities, and arrangements in Thailand will be officially announced by Miss Grand International in due course.
"We sincerely thank all contestants, partners, supporters, and everyone involved in Miss Grand International 2026 for their continued understanding and support during this competition."

Miss Grand International 2024 in Cambodia relocated back to thailand
Hindi ito ang unang pagkakataong muling bumalik ang grand coronation ng Miss Grand International sa Thailand.
Noong 2024, kinansela ng MGI ang Miss Grand International 2024 sa Cambodia at ibinalik muli sa home country ng pageant.
Inilipad ng organisasyon ang 74 kandidata mula Cambodia patungong Bangkok.
Ayon sa founder ng MGI na si Nawat Itsaragrisil, hindi natupad ng Cambodia ang standard requirement ng pageant.
Safety ang unang rason noon kung bakit itinigil ang pre-pageant activities sa Cambodia.
Binatikos pa noon ang gala dinner ng contestants na nakasakay sa isang bangka sa Phnom Penh, dahil nagmukha raw itong “pork barbecue party.”
Ang kinoronahang Miss Grand International 2024 ay si Miss Grand India Rachel Gupta.
Pero sa kalagitnaan ng 2025, pinalitan siya ng first runner-up na si Christine Juliane “CJ” Opiaza ng Pilipinas.
