The same question popped up again among Darna fans: Is Angel Locsin still playing the Pinoy superheroine in the movie version?
The 31-year-old actress posted on her Instagram account a picture of her doing the famous Darna pose after a gym session.
She captioned the post: "Naks. #yabangpose."
The picture reminded netizens about the komiks character that she played in GMA-7's 2005 telefantasya.
Netizens expressed their willingness to wait for Angel to don the costume once again.
It can be recalled that in October 2015, Angel revealed that she could no longer play Darna when a disc bulge developed in her spine due to her rigid training for the said role.

Last June, a netizen asked via Instagram if she will still star in the movie, six months after a first teaser was shown during the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival.
The ABS-CBN actress responded, "As long as naniniwala ka."

It was in 2005 when Angel first wore the Darna costume and blurted "Ding, ang bato!" Back then, she was chosen by her former network GMA to play the superheroine in the TV version.
Currently, Angel is shooting for another movie titled The Third Party, where she is reunited with former onscreen partners Zanjoe Marudo and Sam Milby.
