A week after announcing their wedding, Angel Locsin and Neil Arce released a new vlog on their YouTube channel.
The now married couple look back on their civil union, which they hint happened on July 26, 2021.
"Actually Ikinasal kami, bago pa mag-ECQ," Angel says in the vlog.
She got married to Neil at the Taguig City Hall.
"Siyempre, hindi naman namin naimbita lahat nung mga tao. Nung time na iyon, bumabagyo pa...
"Surprisingly, yun lang yung araw na umaraw."
Neil then adds: "Tapos nanalo ng gold si Hidilyn [Diaz]. Iyon yung topic namin habang kumakain. 'Uy! Nanalo ng gold si Hidilyn!'"
Hidilyn made history on July 26 when she gave the Philippines its first-ever Olympic gold in Tokyo.
Going back to Angel and Neil's wedding, the couple say it was exactly how they wanted it to be.
Angel says, "Kung anuman yung nangyari sa wedding na ito is may personal touch nain talaga. It's very intimate, it's very simple, it's very us, di ba?"
Neil recalls that one of the details that made their wedding so simple was how they made their way to the civil cermeony.
The film producer says, "Siguro perfect description ng pagkasimple ng wedding, kami lang siguro yung bride and groom na pumila sa elevator bago ikasal.
"May pila yung elevator noon, siyempre, apat-apat lang [puwede sa loob]. Pandemic na iyon.
"Dala-dala niya yung bouquet niya. Pumipila kami ng elevator hanggang na turn na namin umakyat."
Angel reiterates: "Pinaka-perfect siguro description ng wedding namin is simple pero rough."
How Neil proposed to Angel
In the same vlog, Neil looks back on the day he proposed to Angel.
Angel and Neil announced their engagement in June 2019.
Neil remembers his conversation with Angel's father Angelo and how He asked permission to marry Angel.
He says, "Actually 2019, a week before Father's Day, right after ko bilhin yung ring, pumunta agad ako sa daddy niya. Sabi ko, 'Daddy, magpo-propose ako.'
"[Sabi niya] 'O, ano proposal mo?' So, akala niya may business proposal ako. 'Tapos sabi ni Ate Ella, 'Daddy, magpapakasal na sila.'
"'Ay, good, good, good.' Gumanun naman, so sobrang nawala yung burden sa shoulders ko. Siyempre, good ang sinasabi ng daddy niya."
At that time, Angel was scheduled to fly to Belgium, and Neil planned to propose after that trip.
But Angel's father insisted that the proposal would happen before the actress' flight.
And so, Neil did as suggested.
Neil then reveals that "after two or three weeks," he and Angel already began planning for their wedding.
They already had a venue and a team ready, including a destination for their prenup shoot.
Angel and Neil were meant to fly to Finland for the prenup photoshoot, but the pandemic derailed that plan.
They were supposed to plan another trip, but the pandemic was still in the way.
After that, it was then that Angel and Neil decided to just get married.
Neil says, "The next month, dapat aalis din kami, e. Na-cancel din.
"Sabi namin, 'Parang ayaw talaga tayo pa-prenup shoot, pa kasal na tayo.'"
