Ang 31-year-old Philippine delegate na si Leonardo "Kodie" Macayan ang itinanghal na Mr. Gay World 2020 sa virtual coronation na naganap ngayong Linggo ng madaling-araw, October 17.
Napanood ang virtual coronation sa YouTube channel ng Mr. Gay World Organization.
Tinalo ni Macayan ang walong kandidato mula sa iba’t ibang bansa.
Ang tagumpay ni Kodie ang naghatid ng back-to-back win sa Pilipinas dahil siya ang successor ni Janjep Carlos, ang Mr. Gay World 2019 titleholder.
Si Kodie ang ikatlong Pilipino na nanalo bilang Mr. Gay World; si John Raspado ang kauna-unahang nag-uwi ng titulo noong May 2017.
Si John ang grand champion ng "I Am Pogay" contest ng It’s Showtime na sinalihan din noon ni Kodie.
Bukod sa Mr. Gay World 2020 title, si Kodie ang nagwagi sa Best in National Costume competition at Personal Interview Award.

Si Marek Piekarczyk ng Poland ang 1st runner-up, at si Vicente Miron ng Mexico ang second runner-up sa first virtual edition ng 12th Mr. Gay World dahil sa coronavirus pandemic.
