Suspendido ang trabaho para sa mga government employees sa March 27, 2024.
Ibig sabihin, half-day lang ang trabaho para sa empleyado sa lahat ng sangay ng gobyerno bukas, Miyerkules Santo.
Pagpatak ng alas dose ng tanghali, puwede nang umuwi.
Idineklara ito ng Malacañang sa pamamagitan ng isang official statement na ipinost sa Philippine Communications Office website nitong March 25.
Ito ay sa bisa ng Memorandum Circular No. 45 “to allow state employees to properly observe Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.”

Binibigyan nito ng pagkakataon ang mga government employees, lalo na ang mga kelangang umuwi s probinsiya, na makauwi nang mas maaga .
“To provide government employees full opportunity to properly observe Maundy Thursday and Good Friday on 28-29 March 2024 and to allow them to travel to and from the different regions in the country, work in government offices on 27 March 2024 is hereby suspended from 12:00 o’clock in the afternoon onwards,” saad sa pahayag na pirmado ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.

Binanggit din sa announcement ang mga exempted government workers mula sa half-day work.
Saad dito: “However, those agencies whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital services shall continue with their operations and render the necessary services.”
Binanggit ding nasa “discretion” na ng mga private companies and offices ang suspension ng office work bilang pag-obserba sa Semana Santa.
