Ayon sa official website ng Oscars: “Ninety-three countries have submitted films that are eligible for consideration in the International Feature Film category for the 94th Academy Awards.

"Some of the films have not yet had their required qualifying release and must fulfill that requirement and comply with all the category’s other qualifying rules to advance in the voting process.

"An international feature film is defined as a feature-length motion picture (more than 40 minutes) produced outside the United States with a predominantly (more than 50%) non-English dialogue track…"

First-time entrant dito ang bansang Somalia. Kabilang pa sa 93 bansa na nagsumite ang Armenia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, at Vietnam.

Bahagi ng patakaran upang maging eligible sa International Feature Film category, "The country-selected film must be first released in the country of origin no earlier than January 1, 2021, and no later than December 31, 2021 and be first publicly exhibited for at least seven consecutive days in a commercial motion picture theater for the profit of the producer and exhibitor."

Puwede ang Kun Maupay Man It Panahon/Whether The Weather Is Fine (P65M ang budget, bida sina Charo Santos at Daniel Padilla) at Big Night (tungkol sa tokhang, bida si Christian Bables).

Puwede rin ang A Hard Day nina Dingdong Dantes at John Arcilla (best actor sa 78th Venice international filmfest para sa OTJ: The Missing 8. Remake ang A Hard Day ng South Korean film of the same title.

Tig-iisa ang Poland, Mexico, West Germany, Canada, Russia, Algeria, Taiwan, Czech Republic, Chile, Bosnia and Herzegovina, South Africa, South Korea, at Ivory Coast.

Mula noong 2006 hanggang last year ay may aspiring entry tayo. This year na lang uli tayo lumaktaw.
