2022 is full of promise for Janelle Lewis.
She is playing the female lead in the movie Takas.

The mestiza beauty entered showbiz through the seventh season of GMA-7's reality talent competition StarStruck 7, where Shayne Sava and Kim de Leon emerged the Ultimate Survivors, in 2019.
She joined Miss World Philippines in 2021, and finished as 2nd princess.
AS A BEAUTY QUEEN
Janelle Lewis was 19 years old when she joined Miss World Philippines (MWP) 2021, representing Angeles City, Pampanga.
The pageant was held on October 3, 2021 at Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center in Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Olongapo, Zambales.
The half-British, half-Filipino beauty won the “Miss Silka special award” and made it to the Top 15.
But shortly after the competition, Janelle was chosen as the Miss World Philippines 2021 2nd Princess after the original winner, Ganiel Krishnan, relinquished her title.
“The Miss World Philippines organization respects Ganiel Krishnan's decision to relinquish her title as MWP 2021 2nd Princess to resume and prioritize her career as a journalist.
“Taking her place is Janelle Lewis who gladly accepted the duties and responsibilities that come with her crown.”
During the Q&A portion of the pageant, Janelle's question was from Mitos Magsaysay: "With the pandemic right now, what’s more important: You having money or being safe and healthy?”
Her answer: "To me, honestly, during the pandemic, I’ve learned that there’s nothing more important than being safe. Because, to me, nothing else matters than money when you have your family with you.
"Bringing your family into a very difficult situation can lead into a heartbreak. I feel like there’s nothing more that could hurt me more than losing a loved one. Thank you."
But a year before the pageant, she said in the first vlog that she may not have what it takes to be a beauty queen.
A netizen then asked if she has plans of joining Miss Universe Philippines.
She answered, "I hope. I wanna join beauty pageant. It seems fun, pero iniisip ko kasi, kulang ako sa height."
By the way, she is 5 feet and 6 inches tall.

This 2022, Janelle is taking on her first major role in the film Takas, a suspense thriller top-billed by Teejay Marquez and David Chua.
The film's full movie trailer reached one million views in just four days since it was released.
It's a "very challenging" project for the soft-spoken actress, and she mentioned during the movie's press preview that, "I feel blessed na I was given the role."
Before this, she appeared on GMA-7's Pepito Manaloto.
She is in a relationship with Kiko Estrada

"A few months pa lang po kami. I won't say how many na lang, para wala na pong isyu na lumabas na baka sabihing third party ako or anything," she said.
To make things clear, Janelle stressed that she was not a third party in any way. Referring to Kiko and Heaven's relationship, Janelle clarified, "They were finished a few months before I came into the picture."
