The movie Doll House on the popular streaming platform Netflix is tugging at heartstrings left and right.
It follows the story of a troubled rock band singer who wants to rekindle his relationship with his long-lost daughter.
It’s a story of second chances, unconditional love, regrets, and forgiveness—elements that are sure to capture the heart of not just Filipinos.
Moved viewers applaud the effective portrayal of lead character Baron Geisler in the movie, calling it a “successful comeback” and the actor’s most memorable portrayal to date.
But much credit also goes to child actress Althea Ruedas, who assumed the character of Baron’s daughter, Yumi, in the film.

A six-year-old Althea finished first runner-up to CJ Keith Longcanaya in Eat Bulaga!’s "Little Miss Philippines" pageant in 2019.
She joined Aiza Seguerra (now known as Ice Seguerra), Kim Domingo, Julie Anne San Jose, Camille Pratts, Pauleen Luna, and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray on the list of celebrities who were products of "Little Miss Philippines."

Little Miss Philippines was not the only kid pageant where viewers saw Althea.
She also joined "Mini Ms. U" of It’s Showtime that aired on ABS-CBN in 2020.

"Every time I message her or may post, I call her ‘anak.’ Simula nung nag-start ang film, we never stopped communicating.
"We became like a real father and daughter. So, whatever bonding we had in the Netherlands, hindi nawala.”
